I have a couple of Phicen figures and their poseability is way better than Hot Toy's. The only thing they are lacking is like you said the major licensing. This is a nice little video of other companies that are competing with Hot Toy's.

I have a few bodies and they're excellent. As far as poseability, pretty much everything is possible.

I don't know about you guys but this figure is just so horrible. I can't believe someone at Hot Toys actually thought of this.

I haven't read anything but negative comments about it. I really thought it was a joke at first.

The posters over at freaks are losing their minds over that Trooper. I don't mind it though, it's not like a repaint is going to delay other mainline figures. It's a repaint that's cheap to produce, and will bring in money for HT. Also since they are a Chinese company this makes sense for them.

I don't get why people are being such drama queens.

I can't right now, having phone trouble.. it's where the hand plugs in. The little peg broke off. I'm trying to pull the wrist joint out and replace it with a new one, but it won't move. Can't get a good grip on the ball.

Think you have to use a hairdryer, believe I read/heard it somewhere. I could be wrong though...

I tried to get another kryptonite spear from the same person that sent me the first one but he is out of them. Another friend recommended a guy from Hong Kong so I decided to order one. The one I originally bought first has no light up feature unlike the one I just received today which does. It is a nice touch but the quality doesn't come close to the first one. They are comparable in size but as you can see one has an oversized and fat spear tip. Also the opposite tip is dull and blunt compared to the first spear. As far as paint goes the guy from Hong Kong did a good job except that the kryptonite tip he added colours that make it look dirty and stained. The first spear has some weight to it because it has a metal rod going all the way through to give it balance. The new spear is all plastic and it is ever so slightly curved. The new spear's kryptonite tip is loose and will fall off if pointed downward. I can see why it is meant to be loose because that is where the battery goes. I'm going to have to do some tweaking to get it to lock in place and I will have to fix the stubby tip to make it pointed. Overall I am kind of happy with it but what do you expect for $30? Although I paid my friend about $45 I think for the first spear. Check out the pictures and you guys decide which one is more movie accurate.

In that first pic, the one on the left looks more like a Christmas Tree

I think the shorter one looks more movie realistic to me. I don't recall the kryptonite tip being as big as the Christmas Tree version I would have to watch the movie again to get an opinion on the rest of the spear features

The kryptonite spear tip in the movie is definitely not FAT and oversized. The guy who made it exaggerated it just a little. I will have some work ahead of me to get it to be more like the spear I ordered first. But yeah, the tip is ridiculous.

Been a little while since I bought any Hot Toys and have had an empty bottom shelf in our Star Wars Cabinet crying out for some love. Decided to get Vader and Obi-Wan for it. Used my $62 rewards and did the 3 month plan on Vader (he's pre-order for Feb anyhow) and used Paypal balance from selling some Star Wars Card Trader digital cards, to buy Obi-Wan (also used a $25 off coupon and he had free shipping). Can't wait for them to arrive.
