Don't get free shipping to UK from amazon.com regardless the amount. The UK version you have free shipping over £10 which I guess is around $16

It did. And Warner only allowed them to release 5K sets originally. I'm guessing that the brisk sales for such a niche catalog release is why Warner caved to allowing another 5K sets to be released. Of course, with another big licensing payout.

I really hope the list of special features is announced soon. I've preordered both versions from Amazon, but the content on disc 3 is what is going to make my decision on which version I ultimately end up with. I have the theatrical cut on MOD DVD, so it's not as big as a pull for me as it is for others...

I feel the exact same way. I want to know those special features are because otherwise its to steep a purchase for my wallet.

Thanks to the folks on this thread, I was able to get in on the earlier $55.98 Amazon price for the LE. Has anybody had difficulty cancelling their SF order? I've emailed CS at myexpresscheckout and SF but have not gotten a cancellation notice. I really don't want to have to deal with selling one on Ebay especially when it looks like it will still be in stock with retailers.

$55 price difference for theatrical cut and some special features is ridiculous. Those special features better be amazing.

I get what you're saying but it just seems a little backwards. The Director's Cut is the big deal for this release. So it seems weird that they make that available for "cheap" and then expect enough people to pay $80 for the cut that isn't the fresh, exciting and new version of the film to make their money back.

But hey, it seems to be selling ok so maybe they're smarter than I am.

This is a movie that was profoundly unsatisfying to watch in it's cut up studio form; like The Keep it could have been so much better recut and expanded - and now it's almost here! I paid the $80. Hell, I drop that much taking the family to a movie in 3-D Imax.
