I was going to pre-order Heavenly Bodies Limited Edition and Paradise Limited Edition in just a few days.

Any chance for a restock or will it just be the aftermarket for the limited editions now?

Yeah, like others I snoozed on Heavenly Bodies perorder and missed out on the slip edition.....kinda bummed actually. Totally on me since I don't really follow FCE that close. Brilliant to limit purchases to 3 each....scalpers gotta make their money too.

Bright side is I save up to 50% waiting until the standard edition on sale at some point.

We haven't done and won't be doing number-specific countdowns. But, we've been upfront and honest when we say something is going fast. If we say that, we mean it's a good time to act and order it, if you know you're going to be regretful when it's sold out.

We have to find a model that works best for us, which is not always going to be the same as a larger operation. That's why we are doing less slipcovers and selling them exclusively from our site. One release feeds the next.

There were some flipper/scalper orders and we adjusted those when it was obvious that's what they were. Since we went to the site exclusive model, that was the first time we came in obvious contact with the flippers and we've adjusted to that on the fly. With the pace of these recent sales and the limited number of slips we are producing, we brought the per person limit down to 1.

In truth, PARADISE and HEAVENLY BODIES largely sold out organically, though, without the "aid" of scalpers. And BAD COMPANY will be the same. We want these editions in the hands of true fans, directly from us, not through inflated after-market prices.

The limit of 3 they ended up imposing still seemed high to me. They did revise the limit down to 2 but if they were seeing "obvious flippers attempt to purchase extra large quantities" the limit should have been revised down to 1.

I guess, in theory, they could print more because I don't think they ever mentioned how many were actually produced and I think the only people who would get upset are the flippers.

Are the booklets exclusive to the slipcased editions, or will they also be appearing in the standard releases and if so- what is the limitation on those (booklets)?

Thanks. The booklets are in the first pressing of both slipcover and non-slipcover editions. We press different numbers, depending on the title. If you order something within the first 3-6 months, the guess is you'd get a booklet.

Yeah I would recommend an Instagram account if you don't have one. Besides FCE, I find this to be the most convenient social media for label updates, at least imo.

On that note, a new FCE post says there's about 15% of the Bad Company slip stock left.

Anyone buying more than 1 copy is a scalper. Limited editions should always be limited to one per customer/per address. Of course, that’s not foolproof but it helps to make it harder for them to hoard up.

This is a great price and source, but still comes out slightly more expensive since they add shipping which is included in the wowhd price.

I’m not really as active on Twitter/X anymore and haven’t been on this forum in a while, but I logged on today when I learned I missed out on Heavenly Bodies and Paradise. I hate that my only option to get a slip on these now is to pay a flipper on eBay. Can you guys press up a few more slips and sell separately at a premium? I would pay the price to not have these be the only two FCE releases on my shelf without slips.

On a related note, any chance of an FCE subscription plan? I would gladly pay to subscribe to get all your releases so something like this doesn’t happen again. Deaf Crocodile did something similar when they left OCN.

It's one of mine too! I think MGM holds the rights now so I'm hoping maybe Kino will release it at some point. I think there is already an HD master of this movie too because it used to air on one of the movie channels in HD. But I bet if Kino were to release it, it would sport a new restoration. Just guessing on my part. It's such an underrated 80s gem with a fantastic soundtrack. Really needs to be released on Bluray. I'd buy 2 copies. That's how crazy I am about it. LOL

Fun City said there are a lot of upcoming titles but didn't specify and eras.

Hey, thanks for letting us know. Honestly, I was not super thrilled with Paradise slipped being sold out. I was going to order it later, as I don't recall any of their pre-orders selling out ever, but I might be wrong. Now I apparently can't wait, so had to order now. I assume FCE increased the print run on the slips and for that confidence in their customers, I bought Heavenly Bodies too, which I was probably going to pass on. Thanks for putting more up FCE, you got an extra sale.
