THR: Last Man Standing won't be back for a seventh season

Never really watched this - maybe one or two episodes - but I wasn't expecting ABC to cancel it.

^^^ Thanks for the news! I just got done writing to ABC asking that one more season be done because the last episode that was put out there was not even close to being a proper send off.

It was a Shawn Ryan series. If he does a show and it's not named The Shield, it's not getting a second season.

Chicago Med/Fire/PD renewed

EW: Gotham renewed for a 4th season

This show is a hot mess, but I watch and like it anyway.

With One Chicago (that's the series name, right?), you can tell NBC desperately wants a new Law & Order. I can't recall any of these shows being that popular or at least no one talks about them.

But then again, it is NBC, where logic is ignored in favor of being forever stuck in 2004.

Last Man Standing had probably gotten too expensive for ABC. The show was going to be entering it's seventh season and that's usually when initial cast contracts expire, so pretty much everyone involved with the show would have been in line for a bigger contract. ABC doesn't own the show so they weren't making any of the syndication/Netflix money, producer 20th Century Fox was making all the long-term money. It probably just got to the point where the license fee Fox wanted was more than ABC was willing to pay and the two parties couldn't reach a deal.

Is Kaitlyn Dever good in Last Man standing? I never realised she was in a sitcom like that. I think I'll have to check it out. She's really, really great in Short Term 12, Justified, Men, Women & Children, etc.

EDIT: Meh. Hulu has only season six

I think this is all I have left... I don't care about many of them though. Super glad LMOe and Gotham made it. Still pissed LMS was cut. It was averaging a 1.7 demo which is better than most comedies. ABC Should have ponied up and done even a short season for Allen.
