Does The Flannel Man wake up every morning, wondering to himself just how much more he can f&%# up what was always fine to begin with?
No worries. It's not real .

At the end of the day, Luke and Anakin had a psychic connection. They were speaking to one another telepathically. The visual language of the scene with Anakin at the end of Jedi is totally appropriate for this Blu-ray release. Anakin could have been a slug but Luke would know it was him. For the audience, that's the Anakin they know and that's why he looks like that. Luke is seeing the man he was before it all fell apart.

Changing this for the Blu-ray would not make any sense at all. Possible family photos, research by Luke of his famous war hero father, and A POWERFUL PYSHCIC CONNECTION make any arguments about inconsistencies foolish and poorly thought out.
Yes, clearly that's it.

On behalf of SOME older Star Wars fans, I'd just like to say to the newbie Star Wars fans, "Relax and enjoy the movies. They're just movies. Relax. Enjoy."

Anakin was good 99% of the time. So yeah, maybe that's Anakin the day he grew his hair out and he's not a jerk yet. That makes it appropriate for the scene and the Blu-ray.

And as an oldie fan I'd like to offer the same sentiment TO the older fans. They can be pretty vicious to newer fans as well. Cuts both ways.

It represents someone whom has heard nothing but Imperial programming on the subject matter. That they never really had any power to begin. Lies of state run media if you will.

Only thing that hurts this theory is.... for whatever reason... Palpatine left the Jedi temple standing.
But how old was Han? say, thirty? he surely must have heard about the Jedi as a child...

You prequel bashers are pathetic. Anything to bash the prequels, even going so far as saying Vader in one movie is different from Vader in the next one. Really? This truly astounds me.

Not to get us off topic, but consider the fact that once the Jedi fell... Palpatine pumped out a bunch of discrediting information.

Remember he also manipulated the facts of his arrest and disfigurement to gain support and make it seem they were trying to murder him and take over.

They were already a mysterious religion of sorts, that few outside of the Jedi themselves knew the inner-workings.
