Anakin was good 99% of the time. So yeah, maybe that's Anakin the day he grew his hair out and he's not a jerk yet. That makes it appropriate for the scene and the Blu-ray.

And as an oldie fan I'd like to offer the same sentiment TO the older fans. They can be pretty vicious to newer fans as well. Cuts both ways.

Not to get us off topic, but consider the fact that once the Jedi fell... Palpatine pumped out a bunch of discrediting information.

Remember he also manipulated the facts of his arrest and disfigurement to gain support and make it seem they were trying to murder him and take over.

They were already a mysterious religion of sorts, that few outside of the Jedi themselves knew the inner-workings.
