I keep getting all kinds of high level weapons except for scout rifles which is what I want.

As for my thoughts on the review scores. Lately I have been kind of burned out on first person shooters, but Destiny has reignited the fun I used to have with them. So I am very satisfied with the game. Sure the story could be better, but considering the story is over in six hours or less in some fps games, I can deal.

I think the story has a lot of potential. This being a 10 year game; I don't think they need to dump the whole plot on us all at once. I'm really liking the game as well. We learn a little as we go.

Anyone who says the game is not repetitive is not being honest (fight through waves, deploy Ghost, wait for Ghost to do what it does, all the while fighting off waves of enemies - heh). Having said that though, it is still quite fun for me, so I am continuing to play it for now. Looking forward to finding rare items and leveling up my Titan. Hopefully the upcoming DLC will give more to the experience.

Can't wait to step into the Crucible as I really like multiplayer games, and enjoy the competitiveness. I am just waiting on more folks to want to join, as I feel the experience will be better with a team.

Co-op with headsets and a friend is fun as heck. Made it to L14, and Im devastating with the sniper rifle.

Now to find another buddy around Level 11-15 who wants to join my fireteam for a full 3.

Not sure if I like Warlocks "Blink" maybe it's more useful in PvP? For story mode it seems like Glide is much more useful.

I can't imagine being able to enjoy the game very much on my own. Having friends playing with you is what makes it worthwhile. If I'm going to be playing solo, I'd rather pop Xillia 2 into my PS3.

Can someone explain how the stats carrying over from PS3 to PS4 works? I played on the PS3 and then when I started the PS4 version, I had to start all over creating a character.

I thought the stats carried over?

I'm starting to think this has the Final Fantasy XIII syndrome. Perfectly serviceable game but due to the history of the developer people hate it because it's not what they want from that dev, rather than regarding the game on its own merit.

What I find interesting from the IGN panel was when they were comparing how great the storyline was from Bioshock Infinite was to Destiny. I thought that game's story was overly pretentious and complicated. It was the only game I ever traded in almost immediately after finishing.

If we look at the last big game everyone around these forums played, Diablo III, Destiny's story is not that much better. To me, the story is good enough to get me from mission A-B. It's not Mass Effect level of world creation or story by any stretch. However, it's your Grimoire cards you find is where all the background is. Unfortunately Bungie makes you go to the Bungie site or mobile app to look it up. I would have liked the option to also be able to view all that on my system in the menus. Maybe that will become available in a patch.

That being said, within the next week -- even the month, there is additional content coming so it will be interesting to see what that is besides the raids.

So the game is not a complete game yet, and I guess it's not meant to be when they say they have a 10 year plan for it. What we inserted into our systems, or installed a few days ago is like part one in a serial.

I've never really enjoyed FPS a lot, even the new Wolfenstein doesn't do much for me. I'll eventually get back to it. I ground out the Killzone trilogy and basically only finished them to get them out of the way (never finished 2's endgame and actually liked 3 more.) And Killzone: Shadow Fall definitely looks amazing, and I've been playing it a bit here and there. I liked the Resistance trilogy. Hated Bioshock Infinite, though it was the prettiest game I ever hated. The play on the first F.E.A.R. was just terrible on the PS3.

Even first person RPG games like Elder Scrolls despite their rich story and everything else doesn't get me into it as Destiny. Never got far into Skyrim or Oblivion even though they are on my definite play pile.

Just got to the moon. I jumped on a speeder bike with guns and wow, that was fun. A public event started, so I went over there to start it up. I just stayed on my bike blasting mobs til gold.

As I play more, I find I'm learning how the AI works. And in some things in Russia, I already know how to position myself to just chill and kill verses the first time I did the section and was all over.

The music is great too.

Oh, and accidentally going "out of bounds" and getting killed shouldn't reset the stupid XXXXX exp without being killed bounty.

Just did the first strike. That was fun. I 2-manned it. The dang walker took forever and the last boss was crazy. I'm thinking raids is what will make this game for me.

Honestly, look at Far Cry 3. Amazing FPS game. Fallout series is also FPS and amazing. They are great examples of how badly bungie messed up.

The story in COD has more cutscenes and characterisation than Destiny. It just feels like a wasted opporunity imo. Their gameplay is addictive, but the first story outing sucks hard. I suppose the good news is that they have a chance to address all of these issues with patches inserting in new missions with cutscenes. Also adding in an in game grimoire codex of sorts and an ability to track reputation etc. outside the tower for factions.
