Yeah, I’m not sure. It feels a little sterile and ‘going through the motions’. That’s just based on th3 trailer, hope I’m wrong though.

Just picked up a excellent war film called ‘Come And See’. Highly recommended (not Tom Hanks obviously but great all the same). It’s subtitled but it’s in my top 10 war films of all time.

With theatrical exhibitions not happening, studios are looking to make money where they can. If anything, they likely value their remaining revenue sources all the more including digital and physical distribution. After this period of Apple exclusivity, Greyhound will be available widely.
I skipped that one too, along with Larry Crowne. I understand the path this movie took, but Apple is the wild card here.

I have been kicking around picking it up but am struggling a bit with Russian Mono as a soundtrack.

Don’t t let it put you off, it’s a cracking war film. Very intense in places though.

I have watched Come And See. Its good but nothing spectacular. The first half was pretty slow. But you are right about it being disturbing. That last 30 minutes was extremely grim. I am looking forward to the movie coming out next week "The Painted Bird". WW2 drama that is so brutal many critics walked out during the premiere

I hadn't heard about The Painted Bird; I'll have to watch for this one. Thanks for mentioning it.

I decided to take a look at your home theater pictures. You have a very, very attractive set-up. I would love to listen to those Dali Concept speakers with those two massive subs; I have never auditioned that brand. All of your equipment is beautifully arranged.

Those seats look mighty comfy, too. Your home theater is a very inviting place.

High 90s on Rotten Tomatoes with both critics and audience and 8.3 on IMDB, I think more people agree with me then you!

Pre ordered the Game of Thrones 4K set.

Have been watching my blues with people who haven’t seen it yet.

Very excited about this big box set.

Looks like the digital cooy is HD so may not look so fantastic on steamers

This set will make for a nice Xmass gift

Game of Thrones has earned a total of 161 Emmy® nominations and 59 wins, which are the most nominations and wins of any Comedy or Drama series in Emmy history. The Cultural Phenomenon also stands as HBO's most-viewed program ever, with the final season averaging a record-setting 44 million viewers in the U.S.

Maybe steaming is the future because with Game of Thrones 4K only available on disc, steaming is surely is not the right now.

I stayed up late last night for the beginning of the semi-annual Barnes & Noble 50% off Criterion sale. It runs thru August 2nd. Doing so cost me $374.

I took your advice, though, and I ordered Come And See and 13 other titles including the Bruce Lee box set.

I will likely place a second order before its over.

WB Shop have announced their 4 for $44 sale. Between Criterion and WB, it is going to be a rough month on my wallet as well.

Agreed. I think this round will go to WAC as $11 per disc is hard to pass up. We are in the middle of purchasing a new house so I can't go too crazy with my spending.

All 73 episodes have Atmos sound tracks so that gives you less than four months to get setup for immersive sound. You need to get cracking.

Got a notification today from Dune saying their HD Pro 4K II is shipping. First device that I know of that uses Realtek RTD1619. Hope to see other devices, like the Zappiti players, using the 1619 in the near future.

2nd what Vilya said!

What are your thoughts on using the up firing KEF Q50a's for immersive audio? I have never auditioned this type of immersive audio so have no reference. My 4 Atmos speakers* are mounted in a suspended ceiling.
