I have gotten into the habit of recording the races. I usually wait an hour before I start to watch the race so by the time I fast forward thru the same... 50 times...Ford truck or Craftsmen tool commercials... I am watching the finish of the race live.

I will keep that in mind because it sounds like a good idea Al. Gotta hate those commercials after seeing each on twice & then more.

Lets just hope that the weather gives for about 4 hours & the sun is out to help dry the track.

I am about ready to get rid of comcast cable because I hate paying the amount I am paying for it. Just isn't worth it anymore. Will need to look into other things first.

I would like to do the same thing and drop Comcast. They increased our monthy bill by 8 dollars and did not offer anything in the deal. I however have no alternatives. I have trees that block access to a satellite reception...so no Dish or Direct...and to many ppl complain about AT&T's Uverse option.

I can't stand comcast anymore. It is way overpriced & over half the channels are not HD, I do not watch them at all & in order to have my HD channels I have to have that package with all the crap I don't watch.

My problem with a dish is I would have to get the OK from the HOA before doing it.

My last bill ( i hate this guy ) went from 137$ to 199$ since my 3 year contract finished no letter no call nothing ( i had phone/internet/tv in a bundle ) i already ditched all of 3 got internet and phone from another company basically with the same speed and unlimited downloads and i'm getting the apple tv .

I got tired of the telecast too. I give those guys credit for ad-libbing for almost 5 hours, but it still was anti-climactic when you're waiting for the Daytona 500!

I' agree that you can only watch them kill time for so long. Really wanted to watch it live but that is life. Just need to set the DVR & watch it tomorrow if it happens.

You are probably right & with my luck all the speakers would be getting all the wrong info. My center speaker is now behind me on the left side
