Hi, I am new to this forum. My Name is Rabitah. Presently I am using a Paradigm Sig SUB,
with 1 SVS PB 12 2/plus 2 and 2 Sunfires(Signature and True Sub Mk 2). I was thinking of adding another Sig Sub to the collection but the cost is simply too high. I came across the PSW T18 and according to the review it best the Paradigm and the best thing is it is so cheap compare to the Paradigm!. Anyone of you have a T18? Please let me have the comments. Thanks. |

Did not see a speaker thread for PSA and figured Id join you guys here. Recently swapped some Klipsch reference models for MTM-210's and a 210C, and I love these monitors. Still get the horn sound and clarity I love, they are easy to drive, but seem a little more warm/mellow than the Klipsch speakers so far. The 210C is also a meaty center, the sound it produces even crossed at 80hz is exceptional, I am guessing since all 3 are the same speaker and the center has 10" drivers is a main reason for this. All 3 make a very powerful front stage.

Yeah sorry about that guys...I've been extremely busy.
I don't have any equipment so I did the crawl and ended up placing the 1st sub in the front left corner of the room and the 2nd sub in the back right hand corner. Set the gain to about 11 o'clock and room size set right in the middle. After that the only thing I had to do was alter the delay a bit to get everything dialed in. No localization whatsoever. Everything worked out well since I haven't seen BladeRunner2049 yet so that's what I put in to get my first listen in on my system with the new subs installed. One word: WOW!!!! IMHO THIS IS THE MOVIE TO DEMO YOUR SUBS!!!!! Right off the bat in the opening scene these subs made the pictures on my walls shake which never happened with my Epik Empires. Don't get me wrong they were decent subs but they didn't shake the walls like these subs do. I love the opposing dual driver design coupled with an extremely powerful class D amplifier. No vibration, no port noise, and very responsive. I'll come back with a music and one more review. Just gotta pick another bombastic audio track ![]() |

Nice bump. Haven't seen this thread in years, which now has me realizing I'm approaching 5 years in June with my dual XV15se subs. It doesn't feel like I've had them that long, but time flies when you're having fun. However, as much as I've been enjoying them and love the impact, I've been feeling like I might want to switch back to sealed subs. Thinking... thinking... thinking... that I thought I was done sinking money into unnecessary upgrades into this hobby. *sigh*

I pre ordered 2X V1812's with the new 18 inch neo drivers. I've had them a few days now and they have provided a very solid upgrade over the 4 Klipsch subs I had. Got a great deal on them as well. Here is a shot of them while I was still setting everything up.

Just joined the PSA club yesterday! Needless to say the move from a SVS PB12-ISD I bought about 14 years ago to the V18 Ipal is quite the upgrade!

The rack I bought over 15 years ago and actually from Target, unfortunately I don't recall the name and I think it has been long since discontinued. |

Ive been thinking of trying out the PSA subs but the TV36 is just too massive for me. It seems that a TV18 is coming out but dont feel like preordering when I dont even know what it is going to look like or the size.
The only issue I have with PSA is stuff is never in stock and the wait seems to be long. |

I ended up trading my V1812's in for TV18 Ipals. They maintain the chest punch and pro driver clarity that the V1812's had but add alot of extra ULF. I'm getting usable extension down to 6hz in my room now. Very pleased.

I'm really considering starting down this path. Maybe LCR with MT-110 and a S1512 for subwoofer. Move my crap polk stuff to rears until I can upgrade them as well. I'd be certain of this path if prices were where they were a couple years back. At $900 each I'm somewhat hesitant. Did anyone buy this stuff and then decide it didn't work for them? I'm used to running a live sound rig with Danley Labs for mid/hi and Bill FitzMaurice Tuba 60 subwoofers I built myself. I've never had a great home theater system even though I've been into it longer than the live sound hobby. Sadly I don't have time for events and am selling the PA rig to fund some home audio upgrades. Very emotional decision. Wish I could just bring the live rig into a home theater build but sadly it isn't 100% mine, so a buyout is the best path.
An audio treat for those that love bass: https://open.spotify.com/track/3HMM1...nk&dl_branch=1 |

In this case, I would say you can see the Cerwin Vega because its quality is much better.

Has anyone here moved on from their XV15se? And if so, what did you go with and why?
I've had dual XV15se's for 10 years now, and the last couple of years I've been thinking about trying out something else. And now I'm being enticed after reading about the new Hsu Research VTF-TN1 flagship. And duals at that. |
