A story about an older Bond who is handicapped permanently or a younger Bond who might be handicapped temporarily (whether he knows it or not), perhaps from being shot or tortured while on assignment, might actually be quite interesting. How does someone who has spent their life almost constantly on the move in dangerous situations deal with being confined? And what happens when he has to get others to act for him?

Well on one hand I love the under score of Writings on the wall, but overall I think the lyrics and vocals leave much to be desired.
Why is it so hard for Barbara and Michael, to invite Shirley Bassey back for one last Bond Theme. |

That is not a Bond theme song. That is terrible and even more dull and boring than Adele's track. I'd rather listen to the Quantum of Solace theme song than this crap. Someone invent a serum to bring back the dead and bring John Barry back writing the music and themes.

The orchestration is on point. Everything up to the chorus - or just before he goes full falsetto - is decent - but from that point onwards upto the moment he sings 'Writing's on the Wall' is a mess. What on earth? It doesnt feel like a Bond song at the exact moment it should kick into Bond mode, lol. Disappointed.
It might grow on me, especially when paired up with decent opening credits. So far, seems like a Whitney Houston ballad, and not one of the good ones. |

Is it possible for them to get Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, or David Arnold in really quick and come up with a tune in a few days that might actually work for a Bond film? How could they possibly think this was appropriate for a Bond film.
I need to cleanse myself. Last edited by Nada; 09-25-2015 at 11:27 AM. |
