I’m pretty sure I won’t like Backlot Murders, but really curious about that commentary with DeFalco and Bill. Anyone wanna chime in if it’s worth a purchase for the commentary alone?

Honestly Backlot Murders is worth it at $16.99. It's a bit slow at times but it's a pretty fun slasher that doesn't take itself too seriously. I found myself laughing and enjoying myself a lot more than I expected.

I agree with this. BACKLOT MURDERS is decent-to-solid. I think at $16.99 it's worth the investment.

And the commentary is just bonkers! Bill is in his element here... and the Demon is trying desperately to keep him in check...

It's a shame that the first Freeway doesn't even have a decent DVD release. Is this second one anywhere near as good as the first?

I will buy this regardless, but are there any special features planned for Freeway 2?

I'd like a Blu-ray of the first Freeway, but I don't remember the DVD being that bad. What is the problem with it?

Indeed there are!:

https://www.facebook.com/15854242143...type=3&theater

"All new and intriguing interviews with producer Chris Hanley and writer/director Matthew Bright-exclusive behind the scenes on the set with John Landis-A slide show high resolution photo gallery!!!
And if that's not enough how about 5.1 DTS surround sound!"

Pretty much everything you can think of with eariler DVD releases. Worst part is the second time it was released it said 16x9 on the back, which makes you think anamorphic, but it's not (black bars on all 4 sides). Possibly a laserdisc transfer. Desperately needs a new release. I think Lionsgate owns it, so may be SOL.

Is Freeway 2 going to be the unrated cut?

Also why don’t we have some of the Amityville films on blu-ray like Amityville: It’s About Time or Amityville: The Next Generation that are available to license through Multicom.

I'm going to throw my support behind both these suggestions! Demon Dave, Howling IV and those Amityville sequels would make great acquisitions for fans looking to round out their collections for both franchises.

Yeah, I would absolutely LOVE to replaced my DVD copies of Amityville: It's About Time, Amityville: A New Generation, and Amityville: The Evil Escapes (all of which are literally older than I am ).

Since we're talking Multicom titles, I'd also be very interested in a double feature of The Legend of Boggy Creek and The Legend of Boggy Creek II: The Legend Continues. Beyond the Door 2 would also be a big get, in my opinion anyway. Same goes for The Incubus if Scorpion isn't planning on releasing it on blu-ray themselves.

Also, anyone know who own Amityville 4: The Evil Escapes?

Forgot that part 4 was a Multicom title as well. I wonder who owns Amityville: Dollhouse.

If Dark Force is in tight with Matthew Bright, I'd like to see Modern Vampires or Gun Crazy get blu's as well.
