I haven’t visited his site for years.

Got Dredd 4K via iTunes for $4.99. It has Dolby Vision and Atmos. The 4K disc is just HDR10 and DTS:X. If that goes for less than $10 then I'll get it at that time.

4K disc of Dredd has an Atmos mix, and it is outstanding.

I'm the first one in line for deals, but at $4.99 for 4K Disc someone is losing money. Even at $10 for a good 4K is not making the Profit Margins. Maybe at $15 it's slightly above Break Even, you guys have to do better than that to maintain the Disc Market. Even your Niche Market is going to need a lot of help!

Huh? I paid $4.99 for the digital. I said I'd buy the 4K disc if it went under $9.99. I don't care about the physical media/digital war, because I support both. I just have my pricepoints that I am comfortable with. I don't overspend if I don't have to.

You have no clue what the profit margins are on anything, so just stop.

I buy discs across all price ranges each and every month and I do not need any advice from you to "do better."

You don't even do much to support digital formats; you rely upon those that buy discs to sell you their digital codes for cheap on this very forum. The studios make nothing from such transactions. Follow your own advice by truly supporting digital before giving us any.

The ensuing should be, well, a riot.

Edit: I had to repost this over there as there is no higher authority than a facebook post.

This was more for entertainment since it is poorly written and has no source listed. Still, this silly thing even leaked into German message boards I frequent. Not surprisingly, quite a few thought it was legit news.

It’s amazing really nice work.

If you go to AVSForum they are looking for more home theater of the month submissions and yours would fit right in with those.

I think you're the first member on here whose home theater I've actually looked at, and all I can say is that it is simply stunning. If I had a theater like that in my house, I'd never be out of it. Really nice work you've done there.

A really, really big

Many years ago I procured a lighted Dolby Digital sign* that I had in my office at work. I have looked for a lighted Dolby Atmos and/or DTS:X sign but never found any. Started to do my own and have a commercial printer do a print for me but the project fell thru the cracks sometime back. If you ever spot one please let me know.

Thank you so much! I usually start getting kind of cranky when I don’t get to go down there for a period of time. Yesterday I had plans on finally watching a movie with the new subs, but bad storms rolled through here, and like Vilya, I don’t tempt fate with Mother Nature. All last night I was bummed out.

Thank you Wendell. That means a lot coming from you. I might have someone who could make something like that. Let me see what I can find out.

I don't blame you at all, I wouldn't want to take any chances either. I certainly understand your frustration though particularly when you were looking forward to using your new subs.

Hijack away! Enjoying your posts.

I laughed when you mentioned getting cranky about not watching a film. I get the same way at times.

I had that problem last night. Damn thunderstorms interrupted my watching Twin Peaks The Limited Event Series.

I waited them out, though, and I finished watching episodes 1-4. I would have enjoyed them even more with an awe inspiring set-up like you have, but I can't complain; I'm grateful for what I do have.
