I would never have bought Iron Man 3 in 2D either even though Shang-chi redeemed the Mandarin but I have it now in 3D. My phase 1-3 MCU collection is almost complete
Have you rewatched Iron Man 3 after having seen Shang Chi?

...I wouldn't mind a spinoff film about the adventures of The Mandarin and his right hand* man RazorFist.

I did say I haven't yet and to be honest I'm still not happy about what they did. But it's in 3D and Shang-chi does exist so I will probably watch it when I do another MCU marathon.

Sound like your gear is in need of calibration.

I swear to god, shipping as become a hit and miss I the last years. It either comes in days from around the world or it never make it home. ordered big Hero 6 & the Spears & Munsil 2nd Edition back in May and both are yet to arrive. one is from UK and the other from USA. I think it's time to claim again, might be the 3rd or 4th time this year alone.

Ordered Alice in Wonderland from the UK, we'll see if this one goes through.

you must have a high gain screen I guess.

Nope. it's a well known issue on this part of the board. Unless you have a high gain screen and a light canon (I have an Epson) then it's very dark. I've heard complaints about The First Avenger too. All my other films look fine enough (you always lose half the light with shutter glasses, but they're doable) except this one. I've calibrated my with the Spears disc and also used recommended settings from AVS. Neither help this disc.

Looks fine on my Benq, no high gain screen, but I am in a dark room.

Yeah, your glasses must be cutting a lot of the light you should be getting, even though the movie is a bit dark, it isn't unwatchable though.

I guess everyone's version of "unwatchable" is likely different. But my glasses are good ones, and all shutter glasses cut light.

this side of the board is the only place where anyone would be talking about 3D movies.

That's what i was saying. With passive ones you'd get better brightness.

I guess, but no one has a passive home projector setup. You need two projectors in sync for that.

Not true, you need a 3D projector with a modulator for passive glasses.
