As for the much touted "original poster art" on the upcoming Blu-ray releases, I am horrified they went with the Photoshop recreation of Bob Peak's original art for the first movie, and not the artwork proper. I have stuck to the original version, thank you very much.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, making updated versions for the remastered Blus is on my to-do list. I don't think I'll wait for the DC of The Motion Picture, though. I'll tackle that when it's released.

Could someone please make a cover for Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th that matches the Scream Factory box set of the movies? I want to put the documentary and the bonus discs from the box set into one case.

Does this work for ya? Just adapted the one I made a couple of years ago to the Scream Factory style of the covers in the box set...

I actually just did something similar, myself (making a cover for something that may never get an official physical release). I am a big life-long fan of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Despite a lot of the backlash and controversy surrounding it, I really enjoyed the new series that hit Netflix this past Friday. I decided to make a Blu-Ray cover for it...

Well, this happens if you lie to people. First trailer was totally He-man centered and Smith told everyone this is a show about "He-Man" but in the end it was just another Last Jedi-subversion. Smith should actually really apologize to this YouTuber team who had insider info about the production.

Love the cover but should remove the "first season" subtext. It's a limited tv show, 10 episodes.

Yeah, I feel ya. If you're taking requests for covers of content that may not get official releases, could you do some for both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT please? It's unlikely that Funimation will ever put those out.

As for the controversy, while Kevin Smith should have kept quiet on some things, and I'm not giving him a free pass, a lot of this has been blown out way of proportion. And the show is most certainly not the "overly woke" mess many were making it out to be. I saw the so-called review of the show itself that the youtuber that you mentioned put up, and while they make a couple of good points, most of it was them grasping at straws to make this sound FAR worse than it is, because it is what their audience expects. As a life long MOTU fan (I could probably go on for hours about the most obscure details that average fans aren't even aware of), the effort put into this and attention to detail is very much there. That kind of effort is generally not put into things meant to take an existing IP and update for "modern sensitivities."

My biggest criticism is that there should have been at least one season (probably two) that preceded this to set up this version of MOTU before going into this story (which is one of the points that I agree with the aforementioned youtuber on). But having watched all of the episodes twice now, it's an excellent show that pays a lot of attention to the source material.

I'm not saying that every MOTU fan has to like it, but at this point the backlash is beyond insane. Even if Smith did lie (IMO that is somewhat debatable), that is not some kind of free pass for everyone else to act like the most insane lunatics on the planet in response to it.

This is not Ghostbusters 2016 or the Netflix She-Ra show, both of which were a mess that canobalized existed properties for modern "agendas". But people are acting like this is as bad as those examples, if not worse... which is royally absurd. Honestly in this instance, the people being all angry about this are behaving a lot like the "twitter trolls" that they so often complain about.

This is awesome, dude! In fact, I kind of had an US release in mind, complete with a hand drawn cover like Scream is doing it with their slip covers and the collector's edition tagline at the top. Maybe you could do a mock up with one of these images??

I already did some Dragon Ball covers, but they fit exactly what I needed, and they are for DVD cases (because I had 2 x 12-disc DVD case, and they were perfect for my back-up project).
