I had never heard of the film before today, but it is cool that Criterion is rescuing the film. It looks like there has never been a U.S. VHS or DVD release.

I will buy this for sure when it is released.

I have never seen this either, but just checked out the trailer on the German IMDB site. It looks like a nice strange Malle film. The girl in the movie has a gas mask on in the trailer, so that has to be good.

"La Dolce Vita" will be aired at the upcoming TCM film festival. It would be great if Criterion could do a release of it.

I was flipping through the movie channels before I had to leave this morning and landed on a Showtime channel that was airing Paris, Texas. It was shocking to see that on television to say the least.

Since they know you are checking every hour like a Criterion junkie, they will probably make you wait another week or so.

I just checked no more than 2 minutes ago

I usually check.... don't see them, and then someone posts in this thread that they are up, and I can't believe I didn't find them first
