Honestly, , if the movies are as good as The Joker, keep them coming!

I can recommend Warehouse 13. Great TV show - 5 seasons and the BD collection is very reasonable:

Is there any reason to import the edition that you linked to as opposed to the U.S. release? The price difference is less than $5.

The complete series on blu-ray is becoming expensive and it has all the appearances of going OOP. Only one retailer still offers it at a sane price from what I have found.

I'm trying to pick another TV series on blu-ray to add to my collection.
Have you seen Dekalog? I can’t remember if I asked you. If not, highly recommended.

I need to upgrade it. I have it on DVD, but I have not seen it. I bought it a long time ago and forgot about it.

The Avengers collectively have saved the world four times now and each individual Avenger has saved the world about 3 times each in their own franchises. That adds up to about 15 planet salvations just among the Avengers.

I know the world is a mess, but that's a whole lot of saving the planet there and it stretches my easily suspended disbelief to the breaking point.

No more Batman for me. It seems every decade there’s a new style of Batman. Stick woth one and expand his adventures, not a reimagining of Batman all the time.

Nope. I just wanted to show it was reasonably priced.

It's a great SciFi series with a likeable cast and excellent special effects for an older TV show. SciFi channel is where it's from.

As a comic book fanatic as a kid, I have no issues with multiple versions.

I prefer campy batman to dark batman

I think Marvel is better at films then DC

my issue with team films isn't the team but there tends to be issues with the individual films after that. Take for example Ironman 3, The Mandarin is threatening the world, he blows up Tony's place and Tony is presumed dead. The story exists in a universe with plenty of "hero's" do any of them do anything to help? No the world waits for Stark ro rebuild an ironman suit and defeat the bad guy. For me once you have a team you can't have individual films with world/country destroying bad guys, You should limit them to local imidiate dangers where it makes sense that no one else came to help.

DC is catching up, with potentially much more on the way. The Joker was the comeback.

Yes The Joker was a regular person, and believable. Also the great Actors in Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro helped. I guess I wasn't a big Comic Book fan. I liked reading Mad Magazine, "What, Me Worry?"

I wouldn’t say he was a regular person but I get what you mean.

Referencing DC Universe Animated Original Movies - Wiki they are a lot more focused on animated film instead of live action.

I still don't care for the recent Joker, because Joker was an insane genius in the comics. I seen nearly all the animated films and live action films. That was just something to feel sorry they attached the DC namesake to, and the highlight to shoot the talk show host, pitiful, boring. Not even considered a viable reboot IMHO.

Detective Comics #168 (1951) introduced the Joker's first origin story as Red Hood: a criminal who, during his final heist, vanishes after leaping into a vat of chemicals to escape Batman.

That’s the thing though. Superhero fans have never had it so good. We don’t have to stick to source, we can have many different interpretations and they can all be valid.
I have even seen some fans moan that sometimes the films are too close to the comics. I was delighted with The Joker personally. There was no rule that it had to stick to the origin.

Being close or far from the comics doesn't bother me, it just was missing the spark that made the Joker who he was even if origin is completely different. At best this story could only lead to someone mentoring him in prison. There was no catalyst that aroused anything even remotely towards Joker except for his makeup and freedom to act without consequences. What I think people liked was that last bit I mentioned, our society likes to act out, not be socially responsible. Perhaps there are a lot of jokers out there indeed.
