I live in British Columbia, Canada. Our forests is part of my business, and the people living around them. I'm concerned about the future of our planet and the people living on it, I'd say.

The last ten years, say, have been getting hot and dry in many parts. I feel the direct impact, and so are the people who lost their lives.

That's all there is, a concerning matter among others ... today

I’ve had my lower floor get flooded during the night; I lost about 10k in stuff…. so far. And we just got started. I didn’t lose a single guitar, but I lost every empty case in my racks. I found thousands of dollars worth of effects underwater. But I am safe, most of the water is gone, and cleaning can begin. I can’t count the number of movie posters that I lost. All framed, being prepared to be sold at a convention. Lost several boxes of comics, but so far, just three boxes out of about thirty.

I've figured it out. In the UK, people say 'presume', while in the US we use 'assume'. I was never sure what the correct usage was

You assume to presume people on are the same page.

Presumption is the acceptance of something as true although it is not known for certain.

Assumption is a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof.

so spectrum came out today around 2 they basically think reason why net been going up and down right after internet outrage back on 17<-when it came back up that afternoon

google mesh is weak they just put another modem in my oldest brother who got all computer hook up to google mesh told me cycle power both before call them of course the guy did power cycle unplug google mesh to put in new modem in so far internet good

tell me something is it a given that when internet outrage unless modem power lights are saying internet down or a schedule Maintenace making internet go down are you supposed to when come back up always power cycle both modem and router before schedule an appointment? i never did this before

Starting last night around 7pm I noticed I no longer needed my glasses to see the TV. And now I can see the computer screen without them. I still can't see squat close up, though. Weird.

It's still in the upper 90s here (temperature), and it will be for the next few weeks. I'd like to start watching horror movies, but it's hard for me to get in a "scary movie" seasonal mood until it drops to the lower 70s or below. If and when it rains, that's even better. Hopefully, the weather will be agreeable at the beginning of October.

I'm absolutely ready for this year's Summer to end. My favorite baseball team is awful, heavy winds caused us to lose power for a week, and it has been hotter than Satan's G-string. Bring on Fall!

I have so many horror movies on my watchlist from last year and new ones from this year I have already started nibbling away. Actually I have been trying to hit one or two every couple of weeks since last year.

Even if you’re not a diabetic, check your blood sugar. If it’s high, it could affect your eyesight temporarily. Happened to me last year. I am, however, a Type II diabetic (now under control). I panicked and went to an optometrist. Turns out I have perfect vision but my blood sugar got high enough that it affected my vision. I couldn’t read text messages on my phone. Now I have a pair of glasses sitting around collecting dust
