My 4TB external HDD arrived before I left for work yesterday, so when I got home I was able to set it up. Now I'm loving all this extra space I'm slowly reinstalling some of my old games.

is it fast and easy to transfer games from the PS4 to external drive? Anyone notice a difference in loading? Also can any USB 3.0 device be used? Like can I use a flashdrive or does it have to be an external with its own power source?

I have roughly 380GB so space isnt a major concern now but will be soon. Im thinking of putting all the Plus titles I dont touch on one

Yes it's easy but if you got a lot of games it will take a while to tansfer them. I haven't noticed any difference in loading times and I do have an external hard with its own power supply but I doubt it really matters.

I sure would love for them to have somewhere on the system where you can quickly tell what games you got through Plus. Either put the logo on the game launcher and/or allow me to sort my library into Plus and Purchase.

You can't sort purchased games, but there is a list that has all of your plus games.

Is that in the library section? If it is, I'll be damned.

I'm using a WD passport that does not have its own power supply and it works fine.

Pretty sure if you go all the way to the left to the Plus tab (where you see the month's games and other deals), your Plus games are underneath.

You can. That was added last year

Now that Boost Mode has been added, Sony needs to add it to the quick access menu so we can quickly enable/disable it while in a game.

Also, within our created folders I wish we could arrange our tiles into cloumns, similar to how they're arranged in the library, instead of them all being arranged in one long row.

Depends on the game. It mostly helps on non Pro-Patched games. Project Cars was the most noticable for me. It made the framerate a rock solid 60fps with no drops at all. However, it can actually have an adverse affect on Pro-patched games. For example, Rise of the Tomb Raider introduced all kinds graphical glitches with boost mode enabled. When I disabled it, they went away.

I tried my WD one without its own power supply. 2TB

It formats fine & is 3.0. Some games transfer & some game don't. Looked for solutions & some claim the cable could be the issue. Anyways, decided to not use one as it's unreliable. Maybe a powered one would be better.

I really hate how the tv/video section is handled. Aside from having download icons for crap I don't want, who the hell thought it was a good idea to keep the download icons in view after you have the app installed? I have two icons each for WWE, Netflix, NHL and Twitch.

My problem with the 4.50 beta persists into the final version. I cannot preload pre-ordered games onto my second PS4. It shows in the store as "purchased" but it is not available for download. I know it's a 4.50 problem, because during the beta, when I reverted to the prior system software, the issue resolved.

If you have HDMI linking turned on it is normal.
