Critics reviews may mean nothing to you but funnily enough a lot of people do read reviews and play close attention to them.
I find the aggregate on Rotten tomatoes very interesting. so in answer to your question, you are wrong. RT DOES mean something to me ![]() Anyway six Oscars, whoop! |

I don't really care for the Sound awards, but I would've chosen other films for Production Design (The Revenant, The Martian, the un-nominated Crimson Peak) and Costume Design (Carol, Cinderella, the un-nominated Crimson Peak). Plus, the Editing category just wasn't all that great to begin with. |

Fury Road hardly made 'a gazillion bucks' - it didn't even crack the top 20 for the year, domestic or worldwide.

First, as pointed out, it didn't make top box office money, like Avatar did. Second, this is basically the 4th film in a franchise dating back to 1979. With the 3rd installment in 1985. If that's not staying power I don't know what is! Only time will tell where the Max films go from here, but it seems to me the future is pretty bright. |

The opening voice over from Max in Fury Road was amazing, but after that it was just one long, epic car chase. Don't get me wrong I did enjoy the movie, but IMO it doesn't deserve all the rave it gets.
I really wanted the story to take us to some of the places that were described, like Gas Town. That's what I enjoyed most about the originals. Not the cars, but the actual settlements that they created for the film. I wanted more of that in this movie. |

Sorry for the spam but didn't see anything on the first page.
Just wondering of any rumors or news about a re-release with the much talked about black and white and maybe director commentary? |

For those of you who seen this movie, which I have not. Was this a good or a great movie? My wife and I was watching the Oscars Sunday and thought why is this movie winning everything? We thought it must that good. So I'm assuming this is a rental worthy? How much was this different the original with Mel Gibson?

I think the reason why Fury Road won 6 oscars is because it is different from traditional oscar nominees...historical pieces, love stories, based on true stories, based on a book, serious hard hitting dramas etc.
Having said that, I love Mad Max, The Road Warrior, and Fury Road. I like portions of Thunderdome, but not as much as the others. The best thing I can say about the series is each of the films are different from the other. |
