yeah i can now watch abc channel 2 once again on direct tv

After an 11-week blackout, Nexstar and DirecTV agreed to restore more than 150 Nexstar-owned local TV stations to the satcaster’s lineup amid progress in contract negotiations.

Nexstar and DirecTV released a joint statement early Sunday to disclose that the stations would begin returning to DirecTV’s channel menu, with a focus on NFL-heavy markets where Nexstar has CBS, NBC and Fox affiliates.

“In recognition and appreciation of the continued patience of DirecTV customers and Nexstar viewers, the companies have agreed to temporarily return the signals of the Nexstar-owned television stations and national cable news network NewsNation to DirecTV, DirecTV Stream, and U-verse while we both work to complete the terms of an agreement.

i know i already touch Apon direct tv restore local channels last night here's a follow up what they said today

A week after Charter and Disney made peace on the distribution front, DirecTV and Nexstar have set a multi-year carriage renewal, ending a dispute that started in early July.

The agreement was announced this morning in a brief joint press release, with the companies saying they “greatly appreciate the patience of their subscribers and viewers during this negotiation.” Signals from 176 Nexstar stations as well as cable network NewsNation had been restored on Sunday as the final deal was being completed.

I recently got subcripstions to Disney +, HBO Max, Netflix, Paramount Plus and Peacock. I just finished clicking on the do not auto renew button for each of them. Three thousand series and another seven hundered exclusive movies between all of them and none of them look good enough to start.

It can be overwhelming. You do not want to know how much time I waste trying to decide which of my 2000+ physical discs to watch.

A few suggestions. Not sure if you've subscribed to any of them before, but some you probably already watched.

Disney+: The Mandalorian
HBO Max: The White Lotus/Chernobyl/Game of Thrones
Netflix: The Crown
Paramount+: The Offer/Babylon

I tried the first few episodes of The Madalorian but Disney Star Wars just isn't or me. I own the Game Of Thrones Complete Series BD box set but can never get past season one. I did discover Ghosts and binged both seasons in three days and then ordered the first season on BD. Hopefully season two is coming soon. I also was able to finish watching I, Zombie so it wasn't a total wash.

As someone with well over a thousand titles on physical media (VHS, laserdisc, dvd, and blu-ray), and 2000+ more on digital...along with Disney+ and Shudder, the only way I ever got over my selection paralysis was to literally schedule my viewings a month in advance. Have theme nights, seasonal selections, etc. etc...and have fun with it. Having a hard date set in place makes the anticipation fun and you save all the needless time otherwise spent spinning your wheels in trying to be "spontaneous" (i.e. wasting so much time that you give up and watch YouTube clips with what's left of your evening).

It's also helps when you cross over the 50-marker of life: You realize that you aren't going to see, hear, read all that you want to...so you will also prioritize new titles, instead of lazily putting on the same film you've already seen 20+ times over already.

Selection paralysis… I like that! Great idea making theme nights and plan ahead so it builds up the anticipation.

I find it highly ridiculous, borderline insulting to the average human's intelligence even that states and developed countries are still locking people up for finding an ounce of weed on them in the year 2023. I have yet to find a single article anywhere of anyone dying from a reefer overdose yet the DEA and big pharma want to tell you it's as bad or even worse than meth, heroine and cocaine or shit I can buy legally, which it's not.

It is just about control, has nothing to do with the supposed harm of it.

I think I have the flu. I feel like every inch ob my body has been beaten with a baseball bat, my throat feels like I gargled lava and I feel hotter than Salma Hayek. I am miserable.

No, it’s really about the money:

Big pharma makes a shit ton of money off of cigarettes being legal and marijuana illegal despite the former being way more harmful and addictive, that’s why. And yet there’s still some ignoramuses out there who think weed is worse for you all because the government says so (despite all evidence to the contrary).

With all the smells I have to put up with every time I step outside (including the rear ends of the homeless), adding the pungent smell of weed would be enough to make me retreat to the woods permanently.

Thinking about a little situation earlier today. I took the bus to work this morning so I'm waiting in downtown San Jose at 2:35am. This girl pulls up on the opposite side of the street and pulls into the left-turn lane. She's got her window down some and keeps looking at me. She's not staring at me the whole time but she's definitely checking me out. Her light turns green and she's still stopped and looking at me.

So the bus is coming and it's like 100 yards or so away. She asks if I'm waiting for the bus and then I think she asked if I wanted to hang out. I told her I was going to work and then she made her turn and dipped. I don't know if she was looking to hang out or if it was a setup. I did notice that the rear driver-side window was down about an inch or so. So it was either she was going to throw my ass in the backseat and have her way with me or there was a guy waiting in the backseat with a

Today I discovered that not everyone who wears scrubs is a doctor or nurse. They range from clerks to technicians all the way to MDs/surgeons. Whodathunk. But why do they wear those in public/outside of hospital settings? Is there some kind of law that says Medical employees MUST wear scrubs at all times? Or are people just too lazy to use their lockers at work?

My Mom was a nurse(RN) for over 40 years, wore scrubs EVERYWHERE. She always said it was the most comfortable clothing. Plus with the crazy hours many of them work, just makes ‘what to wear’, one less thing to deal with.
