Maybe that’s why Lisa Bonet divorced him?

Went to Krispy Kreme and the drive thru dude said hello and I was just like how’s it going and he responded. “I’m a fat dude who works at a donut store how do you think I’m doing!”

Dang the self-deprecation is strong in that one!

Thinking about how I'm going to run later and how I need to keep the range of jobs I apply to over the next 6 months quite low.

Wooden? I guess you haven’t seen the latest Fast & Furious film where he plays the villain. You could tell he had a blast playing that character. He chewed the scenery. He’s arguably highlight of the film.

A few videos from the event held over the weekend.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HNGDnevbn-I
Lang & Berenger reminiscing.
https://www.wgal.com/article/gettysb...years/45535689

While waiting in line, I networked with a few people in the Gettysburg community and a bunch of us exchanged social media handles and I added a few Youtube channels. A few were discussing the weekend events and one person remarked over how Berenger charged for autographs..$65 and was a bit of a dick haha. Not sure how much truth there was to it but the fact that he wasn't participating in any autograph events, probably says all you need to know. AFAIF, all autographs were free, so perhaps that had something to do with it. He wanted $ and the Gettysburg organizers were like nah you can't be charging folks...

I've done a ton of historical sites. Philly is pretty great and just loaded with history. I was fortunate to get upstairs while touring Independence Hall. They rarely open that up. Funny you brought up St. John's as Christ Church in Philly (also Episcopal) was where Washington and Benjamin Franklin both worshipped. They even have their pews marked and Franklin is interred there.

I enjoy visiting the homes of former Presidents. John Adams- Peace Field, Jefferson's Monticello, Robert E. Lee- Arlington House, Washington's Mount Vernon and of course, the Eisenhower Farm located just a few miles from the Gettysburg battlefield. I also got pretty close to the Kennedy Compound. VMI is where Stonewall Jackson taught. Portrayed brilliantly by Lang in Gods & Generals. Lang has a lot of screen time in Generals.

Valley Forge is worth seeing as it is close to Philly. Top sites for me: Pearl Harbor and Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas. Fort Jefferson is so freaking unique and housed several of the Lincoln conspirators including Dr. Mudd.
[Show spoiler]
You've been a lot of places. I do have a few of the same ones on the list with Mount Vernon, Monticello and while I haven't been to Lee's house in Arlington, I have been by it as I remember it being mentioned. Have been to Arlington National Cemetery and you probably know that the land used for Arlington belonged to the family of Lee's wife.

Have also been to University of Virginia and Harvard. I don't think I was on the campus but College of William & Mary is in Williamsburg, Va and the second oldest college in the US.

You mentioned Pearl Harbor and I have never been to Hawaii but I did visit the Peace Memorial Park while I was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan. Sadly I never visited Iwakuni Castle during the year and few months that I was there.

Been to Dublin Castle which has some older history and then some newer history when it was handed over to Michael Collins after the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty. Not gonna lie, wiki helped me with that one

I love the movie Valkyrie and I'm pretty sure my parents and I saw it on release day back on Christmas Day of 2008. While I was in Berlin, I made sure to visit the German Resistance Memorial Center. I don't think I'm spoiling anything when I saw that the memorial is on the site where Colonel Stauffenberg was executed after the failed plot to kill Hitler and seize control from the Nazis and the SS.
The other WWII site that I visited was Dachau Concentration Camp in Southern Germany. In 24 days visiting Germany and Austria and snapping a ton of pics, those were the only two places that I didn't take photos.

Oh yeah and regarding your post about Sloot, I read an article on MSN when he was transferred to the States from Peru and I did see a headline yesterday on MSN but didn't read the article. I can Google but what...never mind, I'm going to check the link you posted right now

This article that I just read on MSN is pretty amusing. Apparently this French sportswear retailer had a campaign where they challenged customers to try and steal one item and if they could outrun the lone security guard, they could keep the item. I believe it was for one day only and on that day, they had an elite sprinter working as the security detail. Pretty cool.

I wasn’t going to go after the Arrow Hellraiser 4K set but now that I’m seeing the photos..FOMO is kicking in hard. It is a gorgeous set. Freaking big box set with a glossy finish. I set it up so Orbit and Diabolik can notify me when/if they get a new shipment.

A few people aside who you're friends with, most people on here are strangers. What do I think a forum community should be? A positive one where you feel welcome, where you help others out when you can (and as best you can), not as somewhere where you put others down just so you feel better. Would they do the same thing (putting others down) if they saw them face to face? I also don't see a community as being a place where you wait for someone to slip up, making a rare mistake (I don't think I'm perfect and better than others, but I can be a perfectionist at times, beating myself up if I forget to include everything in posts in threads I regularly update).

On a separate note, UK clocks go back an hour at 2 am next Sunday (29th October), changing to Greenwich Mean Time (aka GMT). Clocks in the US I think go back an hour shortly after that.

After meditating for a long period about decades of frustration, anger, and disappointment with my (now-former) bandmates, I realized that it was a combination of those same feelings that the other two were experiencing along with me at the time that made us so damned good. I can handle the betrayals much better now. It had to implode eventually, because we exploded every time we played. No one could keep up the pace, unless maybe we were talking about the actual Lemmy himself.

For us Canucks it's exactly one week after. But, it's not for everyone; some Canadian regions won't change the time...they'll stick with the old time, they just won't adapt by readjusting all their clocks and watches. For some that can take a long time and frustrating. There are better things in life ...

The times they are a changin' ...

Acapulco?

Not gonna happen! I respect it as America's great pastime but I do think a fitting slogan would be "Baseball; America's Great Pastime. Putting people to sleep since 1846"

Oh yeah, my dad and I did go to a Red Sox game when we visited Boston back in '99. Pedro was pitching that night.

Is English people saying English things a movie genre because if it was, I think that would be my favorite genre

I almost died several times since 2019. Has my colon removed. It died I had ulcer collitus and fell apart when they removed it. Created a hernia on top of stoma. Big as watermelon. Fast forward to this yr. Skipping over other incidents. Earlier this year I had a blockage in my small intestine. They found out it was a bloodclot. They were able to get it under control with no surgery. Then my stoma came loose from skin few months later. Passing giant bloodclots size of frisbies. They sealed it with nitrate stuff whatever it's called. Thst your burn and melt the skin. Lowered blood thinner to 2 5mg bc I was losing lots of blood. I was perfectly fine with the 2.5mg. No Pain. Last month I see a new Dr he puts me back on 5mg bc I smtold him I had the bloodclot in intestine. Now I have been hurting. Blockage is back. Acting up again. All signs if acute intestrial ishemia. Earlier tgis week laid in bed all day. Too much pain. And I ate some pizza. Then it got really severe after eating pizza. Like never before. Almost went to emergency room. It went away around 2 or 3am. Plus all the bloating and rumbling. Now it only hurts when I laugh cough or get up out if bed or chair. Minor hurts laying down. And lots and lots of gas and bloating. I really do not want surgery. So hopefully they can get it under control by other means.
