I thought the trailer looked alright, and Den of Geek gave it 4 stars, so I might check this out.

The vicious little bastard kid that everyone keeps complaining about makes me LOL in the trailers, so I still want to see this (but in a 'get the Blu-ray for cheap in a year's time' kinda way).

Christmas Vacation is currently my favorite. The Vegas one was lame and although I enjoyed Vacation and European Vacation, I didn't find them as funny as most people.

I liked Vegas I rented that movie a bunch of times as a kid.

I still die laughing when I see the whole blue pen/birthmark bit

He's not in it at the beginning of the movie. He shows up more towards the end.

Clark and Ellen show up towards the end before the family reaches Walley World. They're in it for maybe 5 minutes tops. Chris Hemsworth and Leslie Mann are in it for about 10 minutes about halfway through the movie. Otherwise it's all Rusty and his family and a few other assorted cameos(some funny, some not so much).

BTW, I agree. Christmas Vacation is the one I revisit the most, although I also like the first two. Vegas was horrible. I'd rank the new one above Vegas, but below the rest.

I watched this last night. I laughed. Had a few slow parts here and there and some of the jokes fell flat, but overall I don't regret watching this. Charlie Day was the best part of the movie. 2.5/5, will round up to 3/5 for the poll.

P.S. Chevy Chase man, wow, hard to watch how much he has aged.

Charlie Day was alright. A little too over the top. My favorite cameo was Norman Reedus. BTW, I felt like a moron that I didn't get the Duel reference(I assume it was intentional) until late in the movie.

I called it a couple days ago, mega amounts of toilet humor, I knew it was going to be stupid.

Too bad they couldn't write an intelligent script that relied on wit for jokes.

This was not a good movie, maybe 2/5. I did laugh a few times but overall it was just not very funny. The cameos were kinda stupid and it just had a DTV feel to it. I would say it is better than Christmas Vacation 2 but not as good as any of the original Vacation films. I think I will actually go see Pixels tomorrow and see if it is better than this

Well thanks for the spoiler on the cameo idiot. Not all of us haven't seen the movie yet.
