Blu-rays you bought from Amazon that did NOT include slipcover

Some titles that are no longer shipped with slips (may vary). Some of the ones listed are titles that are quite old didn't make it on the list, but if they were somewhat recent/Disney, the should be listed below.

And YES, I know that Amazon ships from several different wearhouses, but this is list is just to show that theyre shipping w/o slips now, sure there's a chance you'll get the slip, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Most copies of Machete include one, I checked Best Buy and every copy had one. I was just wondering if they recently started doing this.

This is correct as far as the first prints & they only make so many slips. When the slips run out I am sure amazon doesn't stop selling the Blu-ray's just like any other place.

You also cant gauge if you are going to get a slip or not from Amazon based on what other members have gotten. They ship titles from various warehouses depending on where you live and what's available in that area.

I don't mean to be a Negative Nancy, but it's not like Amazon.com items all ship from the same distribution center. Different warehouses will ship different products. If you are concerned about getting a slipcover with your movie purchase, best to buy it close to release date or find it in person.

Funny you ask...just so happens, I just purchased "Unforgiven", the Gold Academy Award from amazon. It arrived with 2 other AA titles, (which did have slips), but the unforgiven did not. I looked at the amazon page under "Unforgiven bluray", there are 3 different ones as of this post

The regular one (pictured first)..$17.18
The Blu Ray book.....$25.99
The Gold Academy Award (with a GAA picture mind you)...$21.99

I received the 1st one, just as you see it pictured, but no slipcover, not the 3rd one down which clearly shows the gold cover I thought I purchased. I promptly returned it. This is deceiving and wrong. The point of this thread is to help those before they fall into a deceptive trap

If these gold slipcovers are OOP, then amazon needs to remove that listing, i;m just saying.....

Yep my thoughts exactly...AMZ has warehouses all over the US. So if someone in California gets a slipcover from AMZ that doesn't mean someone in Florida will get a slipcover.

Granted newer titles are pretty "safe" but older titles odds are pretty slim, thus making this thread pointless. Giving false hope is wrong.

Nightmare on Elm Street might but Friday probably won't. I use those terms lightly because you never know you might get lucky.

AMZ is 50/50 for semi old releases. Anything that is just release should in theory but like I said it's 50/50.

I could be right or could be wrong, it all depends on if they send it with a slip or do NOT send it with a slip.

Dubliner1 (member here) told me that he contacts Amazon before he places an order and asks them to check if they have copies of the movie with the slip in stock.

I tried it and it works. It takes a few days. They send a message to the warehouse and then they let you know when they get the reply.

Really? Thanks for that tip. I usually tell them to send a slip if it's available. But this is even better.

Btw, I think Mr.G meant 50/50 instead of the plane crashing with that gif.
