I hope they release the blu rays with 3 different covers - Batman, Bane and Catwoman - kinda like they did with Dark Knight.

Is there any type of petition or something we could all start and sign to send to WB, saying that enough people are bothered by TDK Blu and would gladly pay for the proper edition? This thread is massive now, it's one of the largest movies of all time, I think if they could only read that so many people are disappointed, and that the proper edition WOULD sell and be worth the time and effort. Maybe they would go for it with TDKR/Trilogy release? I'm sure they don't browse the bluray.com forums.. but I wish they knew that there are quite a few of us out here disappointed in what could be a perfect reference Blu Ray. I realllyyy hope they don't do it again with TDKR and future releases. I'd love a BB and TDK blu with the corrected 35mm scenes!

what you didn't like the switching of the ratios on TDK to IMAX. You are definitely in the minority on that one. Rest of us hope that TDKR is going to be released like TDK with the switching to the 70 min of IMAX scenes

No. The switching of the ratios was fine. It's the quality of the 35mm footage that bothered me - it was terrible (riddled with DNR and Edge Enhancement).

TDK was scanned from IMAX DMR. It should've been scanned from the original camera negatives.

I really hope all the IMAX scenes are in full screen, it was a beauty to watch those scenes in Dark Knight... especially if you have a great tv, you'll appreciate it so much.... i got a Pioneer Elite 151.

I wish directors would get away from 3D..... all movies should be in Imax, its such a great way of shooting a movie.

Complete waste of time, no studio gives a it about whiny internet petitions. Sorry to be so blunt, but you asked.

That was quite blunt, but since you work for Warner I guess I will take your word for it.

Sorry guys, i guess the 35mm scenes of TDK will never look how they are supposed to.

I'm assuming that that Best Buy exclusive is a steelbook. At least, it damn well better be, with inside cover art.

The BD master uses a IMAX DMR copy, but the DCP uses a master came from a 4k scan of the interpositive.
The current BD is very bad (except the IMAX sequence).
Now, exist the right master. Warner must be use this master and combine with the IMAX sequence for create the best master possible.
Inception is a great example of BD that don't uses a DI master, but a 4k master came from a interpositive.

For the aspect ratio question: warner can be use a similar method like "diney view". In this case the user chooses if watch the film in 2.35 or shifting the AR.

Do you mean:

-Avengers material on TDKR release?
-A barebones release?
-Only one version for the release?
-Various retailer/etailer exclusive?

Kind of what I thought...what's wrong with having more purchasing options?
In life, having more options is always a good thing...that's not just limited to blu-ray discs!

well first time i saw it i liked it and it was fun..i had my problems with the movie! Bane i though wasn't very good villian! the fact that there wasn't hardly any batman in the movie! i though Catwoman kind of sucked! there just wasn't much there for that character...and it wasn't really fun at all the first two movies i love! and are fun..and funny just a whole alot of fun! then i saw it a second time knowing the twists and turns and i didn't like it at all! i though it was really boring! and knowing the twists and turns made it actually close to almost unwatchable!! i was really surprised! but thats just my opinions and views!....the only reason i would buy this movie is because i own the first two....but i doubt i will and i will wait for the price to drop.

Good for you that you can wait for a price drop. I didnt enjoy the movie as much as I should(and to think Im a big comic book fan/collector and was SOOOOOOOOO excited for the movie). Im still getting it day 1 though.

But be careful, a lot of DKR haters are accused as trolls or not smart enough to appreciate it. lol
