Destiny, Halo developer Bungie's upcoming massively multiplayer first-person shooter, will be available in two collector's editions that include collectibles and access to two expansions, Activision Publishing announced today.


The $149.99 Destiny Ghost Edition and the $99.99 Destiny Limited Edition will both include the following:

Limited edition SteelBook case and game disc
Guardian Folio:
Arms & Armament Field Guide
Postcards from the Golden Age
Antique Star Chart
Collector's Edition Digital Content Pack
Unique Ghost Casing
Exclusive Player Emblem
Exclusive Player Ship Variant
The $34.99 Destiny Expansion Pass, which expands the Destiny adventure post-launch with Expansion 1: The Dark Below and Expansion 2: House of Wolves (which will cost $19.99 individually)
PlayStation platforms will also include additional exclusive content for Expansion 1 and 2 and will remain exclusive until at least fall of 2015
The Ghost Edition will also include a Ghost replica with motion-activated lights and Peter Dinklage's voice, a letter of introduction and Golden Age Relics like a photo, sticker and more.

Those who pre-order the game digitally will receive the Destiny Expansion Pack and the Collector's Edition Digital Content Pack

Completely agree!
I personally will play it on Xbone but I already played the Alpha on PS4. I expect the gameplay to be exactly the same though. It's too bad that PS4 gets First access to it with the Alpha and Beta, Xbox kinda dropped the ball there.

Does anyone plan on buying either console in order to play Destiny?

As of this post, the Amazon sales rankings for the XB1 versions of Destiny and the console itself have seen a nice boost on the rankings (hourly).

The XB1 version of Destiny is currently #1 in Videogame sales rankings, with the console having seen a boost from below #50 to now around #35 sales ranking, and the limited editions of Destiny now all appear to be sold out (on either platform).

The Beta access for pre orders (the Beta starts tomorrow for XB1/ 360 owners) probably explains this sudden jump, but it's nice seeing that boost coming from a Bungie game
Could also be that after seeing the PS4/ PS3 beta videos and feedback, a lot of Halo fans on the sidelines (but wanting to play with their friends on Xbox) decided to take the plunge.
