Fine by me. :P

There's a lot that I wanna catch up with anyway. Kill la Kill, Attack on Titan and other recent anime series first on Netflix and then if I really like 'em I'll purchase the Blu-rays.

There's also no guarantee it'll be Funimation doing the US release.

FUNimation holds the licence in US for Evangelion so if they wouldn't do a US release then that'd be due to the Japanese side of things?

FUNimation has individual licenses for each of the first three movies in Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition (1.11, 2.22, and 3.33). There are no current U.S. licenses for 3.0+1.0, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Death and Rebirth, or End of Evangelion.

Then disaster strikes, and it's announced that Aniplex gets the rights to the Blu-Rays.

Have fun paying 1500 bucks for the set.

I kidd...it'll probably be 800.

I'd honestly LOVE it if Aniplex picked it up for US distribution. At least it'd be a guarantee of quality preservation and we wouldn't have to worry about Funimation or Sentai cocking everything up.

I'd pay almost anything for a Japanese-quality release as long as it comes with engsubs.

I've never even seen Neoz: Genius Evangelist, but if Aniplex were to be the one who releases it, I'll almost assuredly buy it, and learn to like it.

Of course, that didn't work with me and either Kill la Kill or Gurren Lagann, but...

I dunno man, Nerd Jalopy Eveready is a bit risky for a blind buy.

Uh huh..blame your dislike for the anime because you stylized my name into it.

I see how it is.

I didn't really enjoy the New Gainax Endeavor to compete with Sunshine, bringing to TV their own brand of Not-Gundam Entertainment. But the movies have changed my opinion somewhat of the New-wave Generation Emos.

I didn't say I disliked it - I've never seen the series at all...

And at least I didn't call you a Genital Evaluatist... although that could be a good thing, I suppose...

Save up and you would. It does need to be Aniplex, or else we'd be stuck with some lame FUNi version where we know SOMETHING would be wrong. The only FUNi releases that aren't total crap are Eva 2.22 (but movies don't count) and Arise.

Aniplex would be good but idk why they'd pick up a Star Child/Kings Records release? Let's face it this will be a bidding war which FUNi will have the money to win. I'm just hoping I figure out remuxing by the time it's out in August.
