I feel like I am one of the few here who loved this movie. I am a huge fan of the Jurassic series and to me the low point in the series is still and always wil be Jurassic park 3. I might be alone in loving this movie but I applaud it for trying to take the series in a bit of a different direction. I enjoyed the stuff on the island but to me the better half of the film is at the Lockwood estate. I loved all the horror film feel and universal monsters nods that they threw in. Just my humble opinion though. I will be picking up the 4K of this along with the Target and Best buy exclusives. From what i saw in theaters this should be a fairly good looking 4K disc

You are not alone. Jurassic Park 3 was largely uninspired and had some very basic "a few men come to a dinosaur island and try to escape" plot. With Tea Leoni acting so dumb that it was annoying.

If JW2 was not better than the others, it was at least different. The Jurassic World series is for me the greatest reboot of a franchise in this century.

Weird stuff is happening all over the BB website. Strange listing for Fallen Kingdom, Halloween 4K disappeared, and the upcoming Hocus Pocus and Nightmare Before steelbooks suddenly tanked in price before becoming unavailable for pre-order.

according to the back of the 4k package pictured, the special features will be in 4k. has that -to anyone's knowledge- been the case anywhere else?

As long as it doesn't hurt the presentation of the movie (although the movie's shite anyway) then what's the problem? Some people use the lack of 4K extras as a stick to beat UHD with so this will be a welcome moment for them.

A few Sony releases, can't remember which ones. And Pacific Rim Uprising & Skyscraper.

I was only able to watch the first 15 minutes, but it looked pretty good. Kinda dark in the opening scene, but then again it was supposed to be. It was late though and I was distracted by a sudden resurfacing of VUDU UHD audio issues(I thought this had been resolved earlier this year) on my LG C6. The movie played without incident on VUDU HDX and FandangoNow UHD(but it was only in HDR and didn't look as good).

I'll try to give it another look tonight(including on iTunes 4K) and post more thoughts.

So I should probably take this to the Best Buy 4K steelbook thread, but I'll mention it here as I haven't found that thread yet. I've had trouble shipping items to my workplace for months now. As a result, I waited until today to pre-order the steelbook. And when I did, I had to use PayPal and ship to store to get the order to "stick".

But I got my digital code, which says in the emails I received should be a UHD / 4K code, right away. I redeemed it on the Movies Anywhere site as they indicated, but it redeemed HD only. I just noticed he mentions 4K iTunes, so I check that now. But Vudu has the movie in UHD, and it shows only HDX there too. I don't think we are getting what we've been told we will receive, quite frankly.

The terms and conditions of the deal state if you order the 4K you will get a UHD code. I plan on calling Best Buy during my lunch break.

The detail on the Indoraptor when its in the cage is exquisite.
