I managed to get the demo glitch to work yesterday, and would definitely recommend trying it for yourself. It easily doubles the playable area in the demo, if not more.

Some screenshots I took of the other areas you can explore; behind spoiler tags in case you want to save that content for your own play-through.

The glitch is worth doing, as the other areas and upgrades/abilities do a better job of showcasing how much fun the game really is. The demo proper left me shrugging in indifference. That extended section made the game a must buy for me.

Cool that someone figured out how to get through that gate in the garage. I'll test it out next chance, thanks.

I like the demo, but it's not enough for me to buy the game at full price 69.99, so will be interested to see what's behind the parking garage areas.

Had a brief look at glitch. I’m not doing it.

Am over 50 hours now grinding materials.

24 Nano Suits & 12 Suit Upgrades await me for full game. Will probably grind a few more hours before the game is out. Didn’t check but am sure I have over 500 currency to trade with vendors in Xion too. Over $100K in gold. Makes me curious if that is only for vending machines or if you need Gold & Polymer to craft outfits? Hmm.

Yeah definitely don’t do it as you’ll lose all that as you have to beat the boss on the garage roof to make the save you import into the main game and I’m pretty sure you can’t get back to that area if you glitch into the other areas.

I felt the same way until I tried the glitch. The fun I had there is what finally sold me on the game. That being said, I was going to wait for it to drop to $40. However, the insane number of pre-orders make me worried the physical copies will be scarce and then scalpers will drive up the price (like was done with Final Fantasy VII Remake INTERGRADE). Therefore, I (reluctantly) pre-ordered the game today.

You won't lose anything so long as you (A) don't confront the car park roof boss until you're ready to transfer your save to the full game, and (B) don't take the risk of solving the monorail puzzle.

Don’t worry, there are two ways to make it back to the main area after doing the glitch.

1. You can unlock the metal gate to the right of the parking garage.

2. You can use the telephone at the save point to teleport back.

Incorrect. If you glitch into the other area, make your way to the top. You'll find a save point (meant to be accessible after the boss fight). Walk over to the other end of the roof and attempt to go down. It will trigger the cinematic and lead you into the boss battle. Do so after you've done all your extended exploring and upgrading Eve.

The gate unlocks for some folk. It didn't for me.

Good to know. Read bad info elsewhere.

Moot for me as I’m not grinding the demo still. Just did a little grinding in a second playthrough to have the wider parry and dodge windows skills unlocked to check out how the game felt with those etc and then beat the boss. Didn’t want to play too much and be too leveled early and have plenty of other games to play.

Still a little on the fence about keeping the preorder as I’ve got a small backlog I really want to get through. But this isn’t that long a game and I like supporting new IP at launch when I’m interested so I’ll probably keep it, play through it and then focus on the backlog a while. May cancel preorder for the Elden Ring DLC if I’m not caught up by then. Or if they nerf the magic build I had a pretty easy time getting the platinum with.

Thumbs up

The metal fence gates I notice will unlock as long as you're on the other side after breaching that area another way later in the demo.

I got the glitch to work with the Down analog + circle power move (earned in skills through the story) and it took about 10 minutes to finally get it. I was facing the enemy while my back was against the wall of the garage outdoors, and when the monster flashed a blue orb, used that move and ended up inside the Silent Hill garage with the Cricket slasher monsters.

At first, it looks small, but once you eliminate the enemies and mini bosses, you can access the car engine green power item to unlock the different Barriers to enter through.

I reached an
[Show spoiler]underwater area and the subway, but the subway train
shows a cutscene and then the demo fades to black, crashing the demo. I closed it, and started up and it let me continue, having been sure to save progress at each Camp. Plentiful camps in the glitched areas, and once you open them up, you can go all the way back to the main areas again too.

Definitely cool and the developer kind of goofed up as there is much more to see with new enemies too. This demo, with the glitch through the garage wall, is kind of like a DLC game to be honest if not buying the main game for awhile. Over 4 hours of gameplay.

Nice going!
The main game is only a week away or two, so best to wait as you planned. You'll see all of this in the main game anyway.

Thanks. And thank you for posting the info on the wall glitch. Really cool and I like tricks like that to access new areas. Definitely worth testing it out as there is another good 30 minutes to an hour of gameplay to go through. Even a new puzzle to power up the train.

Reminds me of when I glitched through an underwater gate in the old Soul Reaver demo on the PS1 games disc. It was just a passageway hall that led to nothing, and let you see the map from inside out, but was still neat to unlock. But nothing as big as this offers.

Enjoy the full game April 26th or around then when it arrives! Cool game.
I like it, though this expanded area will let me spend more time with the demo for awhile.

Did you hop onto the
[Show spoiler]train? I did, but it crashed the game. That's where the rest of the code is missing I think.

Yes, good point. The demo areas become fully accessible and opened up to the player, no longer needing the wall glitch trick after opening everything up. Saving often is important, though resets some enemies.

That's where I left off.
[Show spoiler] I solved the puzzle and got on the monorail. It cut to black, although the music kept playing. I realized that's where the demo code ended. I reloaded the demo, expecting to spawn in the camp before you do the puzzle for the power. It turns out the demo auto saved after the monorail arrived. And the gate below it is locked. I've seen videos that show it open for some people. I was unlucky and can't get back to the rest of the demo. So I now have to start and grind anew.

However, I did get to fight the boss twice (intentionally not beating him) before heading to the monorail. I had Eve so powered up, the boss was a cream puff.

Thanks. Sorry to hear you weren't able to get back. That stinks but not much longer till the full game on the 26th.

That garage roof boss I beat 1 time on my first playthrough, but yes, it'll reset the whole game demo, but unlock the very tough Boss Challenge level with access to test out some new powers, moves and outfits for Eve as you saw probably. Oh wait, is there a different boss to fight in the
[Show spoiler]subway area? I didn't spot anyone in that whole zone. No enemies. I defeated those ram horse mini bosses.

Do you think this was the whole city section, or will that
[Show spoiler]Tram Train
take the player to another part of the city, or a new level? Should be interesting to see. Some nice views from that area looking across the water.

Think I'll cancel my pre-order for the Digital Deluxe version. Probably better to wait for reviews and probably better to buy physical as I'm a tad on the fence about it after the demo (liked it, but I rarely finish action games) and doubt I'd want to replay so nice to have the option to sell on eBay etc. after I'm done with it.

It also seems like it's pretty easy to get SP and cash in-game so those bonuses in the digital deluxe aren't really worth it and I don't really care about the extra outfits for Eve, Adam and the bot etc.

Edit: Canceled that and my pre-order for the Elden Ring DLC. Better to wait and buy both if I'm ready to play day one. Have a small backlog to work through, stuff to play on PS+ Extra and Gamepass etc. Better to be a little frugal for a while after splurging on a TV and dealing with $5k or so in home repair/maintenance stuff. Have a good rainy day fund saved up, but frugality is always wise.

Still good chance I get this day one unless reviews are bad (don't care about score average, just want to wait and read about enemy variety, story quality etc. to decide if I want to spend $70 on it or wait for sale). Elden Ring DLC I'm not sure I'll be in the mood for/ready for by June as everything in my small backlog, and some stuff I haven't bought yet like Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake 2 are all things I want to play more than that currently.

Ah, this reminds me of the good ol' days where i literally spent 100 hours between the Alpha and Beta of Destiny lol. At least stuff over here carries on but if i am honest, despite the save stuff carrying over, i think it should be obvious the items people can boost with on the earlier levels and materials they have will probably get left behind by higher level materials and weapon requirements deliberately left out for the main game.

Maybe they think people spending 50+ hours could get burned out and not end up getting the game at launch as a result and waiting a while which is a more valid concern than anything.
