Watched my copy last night. Excellent picture and audio quality. Especially the audio with a fantastic Atmos track. Sony really knows how to do 4K right. The film was a pretty decent watch. I would be interested in seeing a sequel.

As many ppl said, lot of F words >.<, but i was mostly bothered by these time jumps... I mean movie itself it looked decent, though i didn't think it was lowest budget movie from all... I don't know if this will get sequel with earnings like they are at the moment.
For me, beside these time jumps, movie was great for turning brains off, monsters of RE were decent and ATMOS really did its job.

Hopefully that increases the chances of a sequel.

I don’t think this movie was nearly as bad as some said. I enjoyed it. The main negatives were Leon was cringe and it was too short. But as a huge fan of the first 2 games when I was a kid, there were so many things they did right. And the Atmos track was top notch.

Yeah the lazy writing contributed to the plethora of F bombs. I'm no prude, but I do get annoyed by characters filling dead air with repetitive and excessive cursing.

Loved this movie, was a fun day ride. Loved the look of the film. Had a very cool old school feel, gonna watch my Steelbook tomorrow.

I'm pretty hopeful seeing how the film has consistently been high in the top 100 sellers on iTunes US, UK for weeks, and obviously now that it's available to rent at a regular price, even moreso.

I watched this on Saturday night. It's far from perfect but a fairly entertaining watch. I love the Resident Evil games and have completed every main installment and a few of the spin offs and I think while it didn't always do all of the characters justice it definitely had the "feel" of resident evil and had quite a lot of atmosphere in certain scenes.

Not sure why they felt the need to change every character's personality and in some cases their role dramatically but I'll let that slide as it didn't deter too much from my enjoyment (Though I do think having Claire and Chris grow up in the orphanage didn't really add much to the story).

The classic RE bioweapons looked pretty good, they did try to mash a bit too much together with story elements of 1 and 2. I kind of wished it'd ended with the Tyrant instead of Birkin but overall a decent watch. It's probably the MOST 3/5 worthy movie I've seen in some time but when compared to Paul Anderson's Resident Evil films that's a good thing.

Same, this definitely isn’t a perfect movie, but I found it very entertaining and satisfying as a player of the games. Unlike all the Jovovich movies, this actually makes me wanna play the games again. The Code Veronica stuff was especially welcome!

I view this film more as a love letter to fans of OG Resident Evil's 1 thru Code Veronica. As you said, not a perfect movie by any means, but entertaining enough to make me want to play those games.

And Leon was infinitely more watchable than Donal Logue who seemed to think he was back in the first season of Gotham. Really, it seemed like some of the cast felt like they needed to earn their money by doing something with those words, but it's an uphill battle. It would have been better if most of the dialogue had been cut. I guess good for Logue for trying, but this is one case where it might have been better to Bruce-Willis through this thing.

I know Milla Jovovich's RE films weren't as faithful to the games. Milla wasn't just the face of the original films. Milla made the movies so much more fun and entertaining. I wasn't overly thrilled with this outing without her.

Wasn't she keeping her tits covered up in the later movies anyway? I must be the last person to receive this UHD. The steelbook just showed up today in perfect condition (somehow). USPS must have been very gentle.

I didn't care Milla was just fun to watch. I've been very lucky over the years with receiving steelbooks. Enjoy!

Totally agree. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, had a real feel of the games. It's unlikely to blow anyone's socks off but it was an enjoyable enough watch. It definitely made me want to replay the series too.
