Just got back from watching it. Wow...... Just wow !

Absolutely loved every minute of it, could have easily sat through another 30 - 60 mins, didn't want it to end, it was so damn good and pretty much everything I wanted it to be.

I loved all the interaction between all the characters. I was a little worried they wouldn't give them a lot of time together, and focus more on the action but there was more than I expected.

I got goosebumps multiple times, laughed, teared up, went through all the emotions.....this movie.....wow.

[Show spoiler]It was awesome to see Charlie Cox back as Matt Murdock / DareDevil, him catching the brick faster than Peter was just perfection.

Andrew and Toby were also perfection, seeing all 3 Peter's interacting together was just amazing.

So happy they sent Hardy's comedy version of Eddie / Venom back to his own universe, leaving a little of the Symbiote behind, so the MCU can have it's own (and hopefully much better) version of Venom.

This is easily my favourite live action Spider-Man movie now. Cannot wait to see it again. I watched it in 3D, the 3D conversion was solid, for the few people who enjoy 3D.

Wow wow wow! What a movie.

There were some things I didn't really like. Especially parts with the villains and the ending solution of the movie. Gonna be interesting to see how this will be handled.

[Show spoiler]
But man, when Andrew & Tobey showed up my audience was cheering and this never happens in German theaters. It was such an amazing moment and for my first theater experience in 2 years, it was phenomenal. Couldn't have asked for more.
I am also genuinely happy that they played a bigger part in the movie which made it so much better.
And Andrew (and his acting) saving MJ was perfect!

And holy crap... Did not expect Aunt May dying would get me so emotional. Her acting and the way it was written of her pretty much not even realizing that she was dying was absolutely heartbreaking. That last shot of hers... oh man.

Loved seeing Charlie Cox back too. Also such a well-handled moment!
And Willem Dafoe was the highlight of the villains!

AND WANDA!!! Did not expect a Doctor Strange 2 teaser

My audience reaction was everything I could’ve wanted and more, but far and away, my personal favorite moment was when Garfield shows up and hangs from the apartment ceiling, and a girl in the auditorium yells out “OH MY GOD, HE’S SO HOT!!!”

When I tell you that she had everyone dying laughing.

I’ll remember all the great fan service from this for years and years, but that girl’s comment will live on forever.

The crowd reaction at the showing I went to was up there with Endgame. I'm tempted to see it again soon because although I know I didn't miss anything important, I missed a couple of lines from all the cheering.

Edit: I just realized they nerfed Spiderman HARD

Just got back and it met all my expectations

The theater went insane when Garfield and Tobey showed up. The largest ovation was when all 3 of them started swinging at the end to go after sandman

What a great flick, I cannot wait to see it again!!!

Haven't had a theater experience like this since pry years before even the pandemic!

This Movie actually made me think differently of Ghostbusters Afterlife... Spider Man NWH did it right... not mere cameos for fan service... Tobey and Garfield and all the bad guys were IN this movie... it felt like Spider-Man 4. Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Spider-Man No Way Home all in one movie!

So with that first end credit scene... is Tom Hardy Venom not in the MCU anymore?

The mid-credits scene was whatever, but that Doctor Strange 2 teaser was delicious. WANDA!

Brownie points to Sony/Marvel for attaching that to this movie, being that it's a Sam Raimi project, and ya know......Spider-Man. Duh.

Just awesome when you think about it.

Andrew Garfield really shined bright in this movie! I give the writers credit for giving him a lot to do and redeeming him. He’s honestly the best actor out of the three Spider-Men and got stuck with the worst movies. So happy to see him get a chance to shine in a better story.

Tobey Maguire is obviously the Spider-Man I grew up with, and I loved seeing him here, but I couldn’t help but feel his performance was a little more phoned in. Not bad by any means, just slightly off. He didn’t seem to quite fit in.

Willem Dafoe killed it! My God, why can’t the MCU get some of their own villains as good as this guy? His standout scene at the midpoint was brutal, intense, and scary. It was honestly a little jarring from the typical MCU tone and felt like some good Sam Raimi style horror had taken over for a few minutes. Wish he could have been more focused on. I would have gladly given up Sandman and Lizard for more of Goblin.

Same here. Glad I managed to duck and dodge potential spoilers for the last year.

One would have to be a real…..daredevil, to want to roam the internets and social medias in the weeks leading up to this release.

This blew me away, easily my second favorite Spider-Man film (still can’t touch Spider-Man 2 IMO, and Spiderverse I don’t count since it’s animated), but yeah this was quite the rollercoaster and a surprisingly emotional one! I expected at least somebody to die, but didn’t think it’d actually be May. Kudos to Marvel for going that dark after two Spider-Man films that lacked any of the emotion I loved from the Raimi films and the comics.

Also loved seeing Andrew and Tobey back and like others have mentioned, they really let Andrew shine which was nice after he got the raw deal of basically being fired after his second film. Was a little sad though that we didn’t get to see them return to their dimensions, maybe we might see them again briefly in Doctor Strange 2? Anyway just glad they had a solid half of the film to work in.

Really happy how this ended too. Cut loose of the baggage of the previous films, they’ve returned Peter Parker where he belongs, to poverty and a homemade suit without any rich friends. The promise of him soon ending up with the black costume from that piece of the symbiote is exciting too.

Like I stated in the non spoiler thread, this movie killed me so many times. So many moments had me tearing up. This really is the best Spider-Man movie ever. It makes me very sad to see Peter is all alone now though.

One thing about the Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness post credit "teaser" though: I'm not sure why they kept that hidden until the end and attached it to the post credits. They could have easily released that by itself as a teaser trailer online because it doesnt spoil anything from No Way Home.

One thing that I’m surprised they immediately addressed (because I was thinking it when Peter ultimately agreed to Strange’s spell) was Happy forgetting Peter.

However, I’m a bit confused as to how, realistically, Happy could forget that May, the woman he was dating and had plenty of conversations with and practically knew everything about her, had a nephew. With Holland’s face, no less. Did Happy not see any photos laying around her apartment or anything, whether before or after her death?

Nevertheless, a truly heartbreaking moment, given that Happy took Tony’s place looking after the kid. Although can you imagine if Tony was still alive all this time, and HE was the one at the cemetery with Peter? My god, that would’ve broken Peter (and the audience) after all that they’ve been through since Civil War.

So I assume that the symbiote will turn someone else into venom and Tom hardy won’t be a part of the MCU?
