First bowl of delicious clam chowder down. Do I get another bowl or two or get some real breakfast? I was maybe going to go for a ribeye steak with some eggs, bacon and hash browns but the clam chowder is just so unbelievably good.

Just received an offer from a seller on eBay for some shoes I’ve been watching. They’ve only got a “1” feedback rating and no authenticity guarantee. Tempting but idk.

Shoe update: I requested the seller scan the RFID tag built into the shoe and send the confirmation photo to me to verify authenticity. I doubt I’ll hear back from him lol.

Yeah I’m pretty confident it is a scam which is why I’m taking precautions. I’m not too worried about it. The fact that he didn’t upload proof already through the Gucci app (which uses RFID & NFC) is enough of a red flag already considering the shoes do not have the authenticity guarantee.

What movie to watch tonight? Watched the Return To Hogwarts last night and liked it a lot. I might go with my first viewing of The Wailing. Not sure how much I'll be snacking. Sometimes it can be hard to stuff your face with junk food and catch all of the subtitles

It’s been 24 hours since I requested the eBay seller provide proof of authenticity for the shoes. No response haha so def fake! When it’s too good to be true, it usually ain’t!

During the biggest sales, you can buy first quality Allen Edmonds Fifth Avenues for $175-225 (leather soles) or $225-275 (Danite rubber soles), depending on the sale. Danite is pronounced /day’night/, for what it’s worth.
If you go with the darker brown (currently called mahogany), lighter brown (currently called coffee) or burgundy like brown (currently called dark chili), the Fifth Avenues can be dressed down or up. These colors are fairly easy to clean, to boot. I know business suits are not allowed at your workplace (too formal), Batman1980. But I’m sure you can wear polo shirts or sweaters with chino pants. So the Fifth Avenues would be very useful to you, as long as they’re not black. In black, these shoes only work with a business suit, as they’re too formal or informal for anything else. And they’re comfortable and (if medically required) orthopedically friendly enough if you’re always on your feet. But only if you choose Danite rubber soles, which I will now swear by. Plus, the Danite rubber soles have lots of traction, look much better (to me personally, anyway) and are much longer lasting than the leather soles. Just go down half a size in length and up two sizes in width from what you normally wear. The last, the foundation on which all shoes are built, that the Fifth Avenues are on is what Allen Edmonds calls the 65 (originally 5) last. That’s a long and narrow last that requires men to go down half a size in length and up two sizes in width from their normal size. Last edited by BluRayTim; 04-29-2024 at 03:38 AM. |
