Destiny is a loot driven game by design, that is not someones opinion, it is a fact. Get off of your box....

You do understand that since launch we have been replaying the game over and over again, right? Gets a bit stale after a while, bro.

I have been thinking about this and I don't think I ever really got tired of playing the game really, I used to run around just shooting things all the way up until the end, my end was at roughly 2,500 hours so....

The tipping point for me was just getting tired of shooting for another level cap, another version of the same raid. I just had enough. I'm not mad though, I had a lot of fun here. But I am glad it's over, I missed so much in the last year, 6 hours a day for 13 months leaves a lot of unfinished things in your life. I didn't even realize it until quit playing.

Be careful though, because "deleting" the game is not really deleting it unless you get rid of all your characters!!!!!



Anyway, silly logic aside, I had fun with the game too, definitely got my money's worth, but I am glad to be able to enjoy other games now.

The logic is no sillier than spending 6 hours a day for 13 months chasing after electronic pictures of stuff, especially if you need to delete the game to resist playing it. I can say for certain that I would not have played again, had I deleted the characters; I never deleted anything, but, when I quit the first time, it was not out of anger. Not so much here, but other forums, like Bungie forums, there is a lot of anger about this game; people claiming to delete in rage. I don't get it, the anticipation of the day never coming when Destiny will no longer be a slot machine.

But, yeah, you can't play Destiny forever. And it can come as a relief to wake up on Tuesday not thinking about three raids, if that's all you've been doing for months.

besides, you don't even need a 320 primary, its just gravy. the only enemy above 310 is hard oryx and you're using bombs to damage him and touch of malice/secondary/heavy for ogres/shade

if you're bored/tired/hate the game, who cares? no one's forcing you to play destiny... play what you want because you enjoy playing it

One game later, I got a 315 shell as a reward. A primary over 310 would be nice, but I really would like a pair of boots.

Nice. I got a 315 ghost shell as well. I'm up to 306, without the 320 auto rifle that I'm not sure I'll use, and I was only 297 when IB started. I'd call it successful six hours. I'm going to run one more character to rank 5 in the next day or two.

I'm not so sure about that this time. At a certain point most people are going to reach a point where enough is enough, for good. I kind of hope Destiny just goes away, because I sure think this forum was a better place to be before Destiny every came to be. It was more popular, inclusive and congenial, and whether some of the changes in the atmosphere have anything to do with Destiny, I can not prove, but I think it's related.

In spite of all of the great things this game has been, it also has the property of bringing out some of the worst in people, and I'm not necessarily excluding myself from that.

I did create a Fallout 4 simulator, though.
