finished my leveling my second guardian through the Iron Banner, will do the third tomorrow.

I got a lvl 313 Iron Banner scout rifle out of my level 5 package. that was unexpected.

also, ever since I finished leveling my first character I've gotten ghost shell drops like crazy.

I think while leveling my second character I got 5 of them total, all over 310, two of them at 319.

This is something I'll never understand. I'd be banned if I made the comments in my head in the Call of Duty thread. But no, I don't play that game so there's no reason for me to post there.

On topic, is there any chance that XUR's inventory has a light increase at some point (not talking about engrams)? I wasn't playing for all of Y1 so I don't know if that ever happened last year, but 280 weapons/armor aren't very useful anymore. And he doesn't sell shards, so it's a double edged sword to get their light up to where they need to be (unless they're dropping from engrams, obviously).

Well, in this iteration, weapons earned from playing (grinding, depending on how you look at it) are the currency you use to make the weapons you have and want to use better. It's one of those things that keep you playing, if pursuit of a higher light level is what motivates you in this game. It is that way for most, I gather. You may have to keep going to get the weapon you are interested in keeping, as well.

If you want to upgrade what you have, I hope you're playing Iron Banner this week, because it's a pretty quick way on the weekend to get a few 310+ items to improve what you already have. Xur probably won't get higher light level stuff, unless there is a new expansion.

Yeah I have been playing IB, I mean even if I don't get good RNG drops if it's a guaranteed 310 artifact and 310+ ghost then yeah I'm all in lol

So far my only post-game drop is a 298 chest.

I just received the Hunter helm at 317 from the Rank 5 package. It looks pretty damn good, and rolled with Infusion, which I think is a great perk. I'm going to work on the Titan, and bring him to R5 as well. Not sure about the Warlock.....we'll see.

Funny those 310+ shells from IB still don't show up in the item manager app or on Bungie.net.

I'll probably finish out rank 5 on the warlock, as I am a shade below level 3. Or I may not. I'll see how the day goes.

Got a 317 hunter helm from my third level 5 package.

I also just saw somebody playing with an Iron Banner fusion rifle, I'm guess that's probably only available from the package though, so I guess I'm out of luck.

As cool as the gear has been though, my favorite part has actually been all of the high level ghost shell drops. Thanks to them I now have ghost shells of 310 or better that give glimmer bonus for taken (319), fallen (319), hive (310), and cabal (310).

One day I hope I get a vex ghost shell, but I haven't seen one yet.

Finally got to rank 5 and in my package got 313 boots, which were the only piece of equipment I was stuck with below 300, so I am very excited about that haha. Can get up to 309 light now, very close to 310 (dang Titan Mark at 304, everything else is 310)

I've also hit 309 because of my best drop (image attached) I'll be on tonight to hopefully get a better chest or gauntlets. I've given up that the weapons will drop for me so I just went ahead and bought them from lord salad.
