I know the first month of the new year can be a bit unsure with things not settling down and the year not seeming to start properly until towards the end of the month, going into February, but what has been going on here so far this month? Sock accounts, sub-forums being spammed (eg. Wish Lists, where nearly a dozen new threads were started earlier this month for one film each (a brief description and a couple of screenshots in the threads I checked. And in North America where a sock account had started separate threads for multiple films (the threads I checked were more like announcements for titles which have already been announced and released), and new members going straight into discussions acting like they've been on here for years (previously, permanently banned?), some of them talking down to and lecturing others). That's an example of what I've observed on here.

On a separate note, very mild for this time of year weather here (continuing into next week).

I haven’t dated in 11 years. There’s a myriad of reasons for that.

Today (January 28th) my lovely fiancee would've turned 33. I miss her dearly, she took her own life in 2022 after years of fighting depression and anxiety caused by childhood trauma. I'm trying to figure out how to celebrate her life later today.

It's felt quite mild/warm for this time of year, the past week. One of the weather forecasts I saw on the news channel during this past weekend, mentioned the possibility of Saharan dust making it's way up here (the warmer air is coming from Africa).

During the past 2-3 weeks, have watched a couple of editions of The Travel Show (shown on the BBC News channel), the latter of which was the first part of a two-part special called America's North West: Shaped by Nature (Seattle was featured at the beginning of the first part, with one of the locations later on being San Juan Island). Haven't regularly watched The Travel Show for nearly four years.

basically in a nutshell As we explained, As of 2024.1.25, the Outlook.com server fails to properly handle 'Base64-Encoded Query Value'. See the Microsoft announcement below.
"Outlook and other apps are unable to connect to Outlook.com."
Through this link, we knew that Microsoft was reviewing this issue. But we didn't think MS would fix this issue quickly. So, we dug into this issue and found the cause of the problem. It's because of Microsoft's delayed response to the issue that we decided to change the behavior of Nine Mail to reduce user inconvenience.
During the Outlook.com account setup and verification process, Nine App encodes data with Base64 and transmits it to the server, but the Microsoft Outlook.com server only accepts this as plain text.

so want this to work again you need to update app if you still have it me i uninstall and friday uninstall did same thing sat was using k9 email<-hated it i should left it alone and updated

i can say that after i uninstall k9 email today and install nine email this afternoon just an hour ago i got my 1st email push since friday afternoon and its no longer saying no connection retry

i'm just so glad working again hated k9 mail

My Conan Chronicles set is finally out for delivery. The drama surrounding this release has been quite the roller coaster. I’ll be happy once it’s in my hands.

I met her brother and step-sister at IHOP for brunch then I worked all night. Kept it very low-key, she would've liked it that way I think.

That’s nice that you met up with her family. I was actually at IHOP for breakfast yesterday. My goodness did it get expensive!


Finally got around to watching Dead Reckoning last night. It’s now on Paramount+. I thought it was good but not great. The insane action sequences made up for the bloated runtime. It did not deserve to “bomb” at the box office but it was going up against Barbenheimer.
