Hi Okie,

The restored Blu-ray is also magnificent. Was that one of the questions Peter Graves was asking in the cockpit?

Had no problem with Kirk, Spock and McCoy dueling it out in "bread and circuses".

watched Mission Impossible Fallout. what a shame this didn't get an official Blu-ray release. I highly suggest anyone to find it and experience it in 3D.

Finally watched Comin' At Ya after all this time of unknowingly owning a faulty disc. A big shout out to Andy at MVD Visual for replacing it.
Sadly that's the best part of story. I found the film to be a hard slog to sit through, even nodding off towards the final end credits. Along with films like Treasure of the four crowns, this feels more like a curious experiment in 3d than a fully formed 'movie'. I'm glad it's available on 3d blu-ray but I doubt I'll watch it again.
And let's not get started on the shot with the baby.....

I remember being so excited to see Comin’ at Ya when it first came out, and I loved it. Owning it on 3DBR now is a nostalgia kick for me, but the movie itself, as you noted, ain’t Citizen Kane. Wonder how the baby “actor” (who would now be in his early 40s) feels about his screen debut?

Watched Star Trek into darkness. Very good movie and very good 3D, highly recommended.

Edit: For pop out freaks...plenty!

I already have so many hobbies and interests that I can only give each one a small amount of time. Creating blu-ray subtitles is something I will most likely never attempt.

I can't remember the baby scene. What happened in it?

Nothing crazy. Just a peeing baby held above the camera if I remember right. No big deal in Europe (Spain?) where this was shot, but shocking to American audiences.

The famous Nevermind cover baby sued as an adult to get them stop using his image, but the case was thrown out.

Just had my shipping notice from Importcds for 'I, the jury' 3d/4k combo. Heard a lot of good things about this disc on the films thread. Only another 5-10 days to wait. Wish all overseas deliveries were as fast as Amazon Japan.

Just watched what the film credits call Thor The Legend of Valhalla, which is also known as "Thor the legend of the magical hammer" and "Thor A Magic Adventure".

This is an animated title I'd have little interest in except for it being in 3D. Not to say it's bad or didn't find somewhat enjoyable but this is basically a children's story (though it does include some clever and funny adult moments some parents might not find suitable for little ones) that could be dull at times.

The 3D had basic depth and spatial placement and provided a nice viewing experience but did little in terms of making the story any more interesting. But I am content having added this to my 3D collection.

Watching Top Gun in anticipation of TGM arriving, disappointedly only in 4K. Although the 4K and Atmos are supposed to be reference.

Hi Okie

If this was the sixties, Top Gun Maverick and certain other Tom Cruise films would be Elvis Presley musicals.
