Correct. Which is why Walmart seems to always have a larger selection of ‘em over everything else.

The average consumer probably looks at a Blu-ray and sees they cost more than a DVD so they go with the latter. Most aren’t even equipped to play a Blu-ray. I stopped buying movies for relatives as they would often tell me “I don’t have a way to play this.” They’re much more open to receive a DVD.

Agree that the jump between VHS and DVD was a massive one. For those fortunate enough to afford Laserdisc players, it was revolutionary over VHS.

I’m not sure if I would consider Blu-ray niche as it’s been around since ‘06 but average consumers probably call it niche. Which means 4K is super niche haha and it is.

My mechanic is an angry boomer and he told me he got a new 4K tv to watch DVDs on. I said nice and just left it at that. He didn’t even know what a Blu-ray was let alone 4K.

Been trying to lose weight for quite some time. I am actually succeeding this time. About 15 pounds since the start of the month.

I had to drive 4 hours round trip yesterday for a medical appointment. I haven't had a long drive like that in a long time. In the past I would be 10 over the limit. This time I kept it at about 1 mile per under or right at the limit. Traffic wasn't heavy and people had no problems passing me on the 4 lane. It was relaxing.

Passed by McDonalds a couple of times. Wanted a 1/4 pounder and fries. Did not do it. Went to a Subway and got a spinach salad instead. Happy with myself but I want a burger.

I'm pretty sure I was down in SoCal having reported to MCT (Marine Combat Training). Normally you would do 17 days at Camp Pendleton and wouldn't have time for movies but I reported with a cast on my hand. For that reason, I had a temp job doing who knows what. So yeah, I think we might have snuck into the theater to see it.
Anyway, it's been a really long time since I've seen Titanic but I happened to pick up a cheap copy of the Blu Ray at Walmart a month and a half ago or so.

And you mentioned having a TLX loaner last week and that reminds me of a pretty slick one that I saw a couple weeks ago. It was Tiger Eye Pearl TypeS and it looked muy bien
I didn't get a great pic since it was in a parking space with cars on both sides so I'll just post these two cars for now.

Totally agreed about Isaacs’ performance in The Patriot. He is the perfect villain.

Did you end up watching Titanic? People bash it way too harshly. It’s really the perfect disaster film with a Romeo & Juliet romance playing out.

I’ve seen a few of the tiger pearl Type S in the wild. A dealer in NJ had 4 on the lot when they first launched.

I also saw the PMC Edition at Paragon Acura in Queens-only 300 produced.

I plan on attending the auto show in NYC at the end of the month. I’ll snap some photos for ya!

Thinking about dinner options. Maybe some boneless buffalo wings. I need to finish that expired blue cheese in the fridge.

I'm not a big fan of red on that car but the rims do look good. Really like the Tiger Eye color. Regardless of the color, it's a sharp looking car. I'm not familiar with that model that you mentioned.

Do look forward to your pics if you end up going.

Boneless buffalo wings with expired blue cheese sounds amazing or like utter disaster.

It’s just a super exclusive and rare trim level as if TypeS wasn’t enough. 65k MSRP but I saw 70k+ with dealer markup. Entirely cosmetic with no bump in hp. Still 355 like the TypeS

3 color options. 100 for each one. Marketed as “hand built” at the same facility in Ohio where they built the NSX.

Yeah! I’m looking forward to it along with all the city food.

You know, I'm pretty sure I saw a really sick TLX yesterday. I think the Acura emblems were blacked out or at least darker and harder to see. I thought it had a Turbo badge on the back on the driver's side but I'm not sure. It was really nice looking and I'm glad that the guy didn't catch me checking it out while I was walking to the bus stop lol I'm a low-key hater

And daaaamn, Mikey likes!

A new TLX? They do not have Turbo badging but being that it’s Cali…I would not be surprised if the owner added it as you can buy them online.

I think the only Acura that came with Turbo badging was the original RDX.

Yeah, I Googled and found that the RDX did have a turbo badge but this was definitely a sedan. I thought the badge said Turbo but maybe it said something else. Doubt I'll see it again but you never know.
Posted a pic of the Bugatti that I saw back in 2020. You probably saw the picture of the Maybach that I posted awhile back. Definitely don't see those very often. That might have been the first one that I've ever seen.

Oh and speaking of Acura SUVs, I saw a really nice MDX when I was leaving Chili's. Those are some sharp looking vehicles too.

A lot of athletes owned a Maybach. I remember A-Rod being involved in a fender bender with another vehicle outside the stadium in Tampa during spring training. That car is a bit silly to drive as it’s designed for someone to be chauffeured around in. If you can afford one, you should be able to afford a driver heh. I’ve seen a few over the years.

I’ve never seen a Bugatti out in the wild. Only at shows.

The new MDX is sharp! Of course it comes in Tiger Eye Pearl!

Most athletes drive themselves - witness the numerous DUI cases even though there is Uber and the NFL and NBA will pay for a taxi/Uber/driver at no cost to the athlete.

Mike Trout was in an accident on the freeway, he had a pretty expensive Mercedes Benz that had damage but he didn't even have a scratch, while the other car was a Chevy Sonic that got wrecked so badly an occupant had to be extracted with the Jaws of Life.

They definitely do and I don’t blame them. It just seems silly to have a massive vehicle built for the back seat occupant(s), but you’re upfront heh.

Another example is Tiger Woods wrecking that SUV. He is worth a billion and people were like why the hell was he driving himself. It came out he likes to drive!

It's a mini moving living room for TV addicts.
The outside appearance has less than zero importance.
I thought it has not only a big huge front but also ridiculously lazy designed interior for couch potatoes type of folks. I don't think they're gong to sell many of them.

They've all had umbrellas since 2003 ish. Apparently at $700 each I will continue to forgo buying one.

I've currently got a hankering for an Alpina B8 Gran Coupe. Great looking car with a mighty spec list.

Dark green preferably.

Just like this would do.

Saw a Cybertruck today. I drove right by it and while I didn't get a long look at it, I didn't need to in order to know that it's an ugly truck...in my opinion

I like that car's simple streamline design ^
