The first one is very similar to the official artwork for the Special Edition. I actually recreated the artwork using a publicity still, adding a few bells and whistles in the process.

The second version was inspired by the Argentinian VHS box. I felt it represented the mystery of the Abyss, and the all-encompassing blackness very well.

Getting back in the swing of making covers after taking a break. I've been playing around with The Universal Monsters cover style a little bit. The original four I did seem a little bland and basic, at least to me, so I've been trying to play around with some stuff.

Okay, so I've been practicing and learning Gimp and I feel like sharing some of my humble creations. I hope you good readers think they're not too terrible!









3001 is better known under the English-language release title "Witching and B----hing," but I don't like that title.

3003 incorporates most of the existing release's front cover. I hope that is okay, which reminds me that I do have a question about this forum's rules and etiquette. I've made a few of these - for personal use only, one hopes - using other people's fan art, and in some cases the commercial art of Mondo's team of geniuses, from their limited edition prints. Part of me feels kind of hesitant about sharing the designs I've made that incorporates other people's fan art, or does that go on all the time and it's all part of the fun?

It goes on all the time.


On a side note, I like the Spider-Man one but you should blend the edge of the image more on the left.

And the back features are for the trilogy set, not just the first film.

Thank you! I was not sure what the best solution was; I was considering using a background of John Romita comic art instead of the black area and might go back to that. But yes, the inspiration for the set was the way that Real Criterion's Shaft includes Shaft's Big Score, and their The Killing includes Killer's Kiss, this one includes Spidey 2 and 3 as "bonuses" and would include their bonus features as well.

A couple of users were very kind in giving me custom artwork for a few films so I thought I'd share what I'd been working on as I think they look pretty nice. Most of these are hard to find blu-rays or simply don't exist and I made a few Star Wars ones for the 4K77 project. They're all relatively basic but I think they look nice. Be keen to hear if anyone likes them and wants to use them

Finally settled on some art for a NBK cover. At first I thought it was a little gaudy and tasteless but it does suit the in-your-face, headline grabbing tone of the film!

With the heroes over at Team Negative One finding 35mm prints of the original Star Wars trilogy and restoring them to 4K, I felt motivated to make a cover for myself.

This isn't the most original design I'll say up front, as I'm sure there's similar things brought up from others. I bare no responsibility in this being 100% original.

At the moment, the specs will be a 50gb Blu-ray disc unless (hopefully) someday, 4K Blu-ray players can support playback on blank 4K UHD-BD discs.

I will not be doing any of the prequel trilogy, sequel trilogy, spinoff movies or TV series. Simply don't give a shit about anything after the original trilogy.

Designed for a 4-6 Disc Viva Elite case for special feature discs.
