I've also heard about surges of adrenaline to lift cars and things like that, but it was a little overdone. I'm not really bothered by it, but more bothered that they specifically show the other two telling her to go up first and she doesn't take the chivalrous offer just to set up that scene or else avoid criticism of them being blamed for her death. Spend all that effort to find coco just to make her motherless by letting the others take up their anonymous commonwealth babies first.

I haven't watched the show for 8 years, so I didn't watch the final episode. My wife did. She said the song "Cult of Personality" was prominently used. This leaves me with mixed emotions. For one thing, any publicity is good publicity. On the other hand, Living Colour deserves to have their music used on a much more relevant - and better - show.

Oh well. Their legacy is already set.

Here's a question for those that didn't like the show but continued to watch it. Why? This is something I don't understand. When I'm not enjoying a show, I stop watching it.

Because our time here is finite and there's literally more content than you could possibly consume so why waste time watching something you don't like? It's absurd.

The last episode for me was the season 7 premiere but I still look in here occasionally just to read people's thoughts.

I'm with you. Sadly, there is a very real - and very popular - thing called "hate-watching". I don't get it, but I'm an old f**k.

Personally I only bothered with it for this long because my dad kept watching it. I would've dropped it around season 7/8 if not for that. An ex girlfriend of mine got me into the series in the past. Got into it and stayed into it for someone else I guess. The series had its highs and lows, it was a very 50/50 series for me. Seasons 1-6 were great and everything after that lost me. I did enjoy season 9 though.

You haven't watched it for 8 years so your last sentence doesn’t really make sense.

I think anyone who still watches but complains about it really liked it at some point in the past. There is still enough familiarity to the story and cast I liked (barely) that I still want to see how things turn out and if any big developments happen. They just kept doing things in such a boring way at times that any armchair quarterback thinks there is a better way, so we complain.

But I also tend to force myself to complete series or books, etc.. has to get really painful before I quit...maybe that is some type of sadistic OCD?

How is that nonsensical?

Pretty sure he meant this sentence

I just thought it was a random attempt to try to get people to talk about the band. It didn't work.

All I’m saying is, how can I take his post seriously when he talks about ‘better’ shows but he hasn’t watched it for 8 years. It’s nonsensical.

It like me saying House Of Daggers is way better than GOT but oh, by the way, I haven’t watched GOT since season 2.

I've asked myself this a number of times. Seasons 1 to 6 were incredible. After that it fell apart and got worse each season. I guess I stuck it out due to the fact I wanted to know how it ends and part of the journey is a part of that. Plus I'd already invested six seasons. Also, I was holding out hope it would turnaround. Sadly, it didn't. Glad it's over. I may watch the Grimes series but as for the others...nope.

The problem in the end of the show was that AMC got too greedy and cared more about milking the franchise as much as possible even if it costs the them the shows rep and overall quality of their final product. If they cut down the amount of episodes per season and tried to make the show last from 8-9 seasons overall, I think the show would have benefited as well as sticking closer to the comics.

The executive director of the agency I work for has a favourite saying. "The problem with common sense is that it's not very common." That kind of works here. Like I said, I think the post was seen as an opportunity to put the band name out there and nothing more.
