$24.20 US dollars from the French Amazon site. This is the 2012 Blu-ray that has made slight improvements over the 2011 disc. It's still reportedly a horrible transfer, but my curiosity got the best of me, since this is my all-time favorite movie, and it looks as though it make take a while longer for a Criterion Blu-ray upgrade to be available.

2. I pretty much have the Criterion DVD subtitles of this film memorized.
3. Le Samourai is not exactly the most dialogue-intense feature in the world.
4. This Blu-ray is just a place-holder until a better high definition transfer comes along. A memento of my all-time favorite film.

I'm willing to wait for Criterion to release Le Samourai with the superb transfer that it really deserves, but I'm definitely hoping sooner rather than later!

I love Frys' selection, but when something isn't on sale, the prices are ridiculous. $32.99 for a 2nd week release.
