Made a color version and a Black & White version. These are 15mm 4 disc cases. I don't have a 4k preview for that size.

Just for fun I determined the font used for the "Dog" in "Must Love Dogs". Well, at least I think I did. Of course the cost of admission was over $30 for the font. That being said, I found a free version of the font which literally sits flush inside the official title treatment. Unfortunately the one font weight offered was either too thin or too thick based on the settings I could apply. See below.
The official "Dogs" font, graphical text in this case... ![]() The closest match I could find of the free fonts out there... ![]() Looking at the above images side by side the differences in font weight are quite pronounced. Adjusting the settings in Photoshop I can make the font thicker, but then it's too think. If only a medium weight version of this free font were available, but I digress. So for now I'll be leaving the cover art as is. I did a sufficient job of lifting that portion of the title treatment from the key art I was working from so. Time to move on to something else I suppose. Last edited by AmishParadise; 08-17-2023 at 08:56 PM. |

You can add a stroke to the text to make it bolder. Just choose the amount of pixels for how thick you want the stroke. You should be able to match it exactly but I think you already got the font very, very close.

I just checked and yup. Same special features and specs for both the US and UK releases. The only minor difference is the addition of a Lionsgate logo on the US release (the US release also includes the Studio Canal logo on the back).

![]() In the below image I temporarily made the font for my text layer red, then placing it on top of the original title treatment which is graphical text. ![]() In this next image I added a center positioned 4 pixel stroke to the text layer which provided the best result. Now that's what I'm talking about! ![]() From there I set the font and stroke colors back to white rasterizing a copy of the layer and merging it with the other layers used for the title treatment. I then took the liberty of tweaking the "Dogs" portion of the title treatment further so that it was a somewhat closer match to the original title treatment. End result shown below. ![]() So I can finally say that I've recreated the title treatment from scratch. It's still not identical to the original title treatment, but it's so close that most would be hard pressed to notice. Looks great I think so. Guess it's time now to carry my work here over to the spine. The fun never ends! __________________________________ I've since carried my new title treatment over to the spine also tweaking a few elements on the back portion. An updated version of the cover art is available to download via my earlier post, here. ![]() __________________________________ Well, that didn't take long. I ended up having to upload the cover art again just now. I had replaced the Dolby Digital logo on the back portion with a Dolby Digital Plus logo per the digital offering I purchased and authored to Blu-ray. As soon as I uploaded the cover art I noticed I was using a smaller version of the logo by mistake. It's always something. I deleted that layer from my Photoshop (PSD) file. Made the layer containing the larger version of the logo visible instead. ![]() Last edited by AmishParadise; 08-17-2023 at 08:55 PM. |

Now that Full Moon has finally issued blus of Trancers 4 and 5, all the Thomerson ones are out. I think it would be amazing if we could get custom covers for 2,3,4 and 5 that reflect the original VHS art I grew up with. the blu for one mirrors it pretty well, and the ones for two and three are basically just glossed up versions of the original poster art, but the art for the blus of 4 and 5 are both hot garbage. The set would look amazing if the OG art was showing instead, just my two cents

You've created a monster.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Graphical text from DVD cover art... ![]() Replacement text with stroke added... ![]() (An updated version of the cover art can be downloaded from my prior post, here.) I zoomed in quite a bit when taking the pics shown above. The replacement text looks much cleaner when viewing the full size cover art and is a big improvement over the graphical text I had lifted from the DVD cover art which I cleaned up quite a bit. So maybe I'll move on to something else now. It had been quite a while since I worked up some cover art. I may just have to work up another one. Too much fun! ![]() Last edited by AmishParadise; 08-17-2023 at 08:55 PM. |

I appreciate your attention to detail, I do a lot of artwork and proofreading at my job in the printing industry so I know how important it is to get things right.

I got some motivation to work on this a bit more and I'm liking what I have so far. I need to work on masking the images a bit better and I think I want to add a frame on the back, front and spine to give each section a bit of separation.
