Me buffalo and chocolate have completed it once it's really just the pressure of the relic runner not to die and keep everyone alive as long as possible and ha e two titans in middle with weapons and blessing we will just have to balance the teams for both runs so we aren't heavy in one class on the runs

It's actually easier on the runner. No pressure or agro what so ever. The pressure is on the ogre killers to make sure they stack correctly.

Got the 320 helmet to complete the set for the Titan, but no weapons that run. I already had a 319 racing helmet, but the set looks cool, especially with the shader.

Got the 320 pulse rifle and a 313 scout with the Warlock and the 50th fragment, at that. Don't know what I will do with the pulse. It will take careful consideration. These are my first 310+ primaries.

I got really lucky on LFG. I have not had very good luck this season with randoms until today. But we got one done in an hour, only one guy had to leave, and we quickly found a sub and ran a second one in the second hour. I tried to get a forum guy into both hours, but he must have been AFK.

I've been playing almost 100% with a Titan this season, and only today did I come to appreciate how much more fun it is to play as Sunsinger on platform 3. No fear hanging out until the very end to kill the third knight, and if you do well you can taunt the charging shade and try to take the slam for the team. I had been thinking Warlocks were kind of useless.

call me crazy.....but if it takes 4 runs, 4 bombs each run, a total of 16 bombs to kill Oryx on a regular run.......then it sure as sh!t should take 16 bombs going off at the same time to kill him.

and if it doesn't work on the 1st run, 18 bombs going off at the same time should def. do the trick on the 2nd run.

and if it doesn't work that time....one would think the game was glitching and 16 f**king bombs would be enough a 3rd time!!

kinda salty after last night....not gonna lie.

The strange thing was the LFG thread was asking for a 316+ Titan and I asked if 314 was ok? They said no so I found one looking for 313+ and we did it on our 3rd try and I didn't cause any of those retries and the best part after completing the challenge I'm still a 314. I had a 319 helmet from racing so the 320 just bumped me a little closer to 315.

Why they were asking for a 316+ I have no idea it worked out for me.

Same thing happened to me about 10x. Wasn't fun. One thing that I think was contributing to failure was we forgot to keep shooting oryx during bombs so he was closing up before all bombs hit. The other option is to go 5 rounds and detonate 20 bombs.

and it wasn't like we missed a knight and didn't realize it. someone counted the # of bombs that were detonated and it was 16+ each of the 3 rounds that happened to us.

there were a couple of times i was standing on top of the pillar waiting for the Ogre to spawn and i was questioning whether or not a knight got a bomb.....the Ogre's died in the same exact spot so it looked like only 1 bomb was there even though there were 2 or 3.

When using LFG, I have rules about posts I will respond to. If they have too many or too strict rules, or if they say things like "no idiots" or "let's get this done" or "quick run", or if they are too enthusiastic sounding I avoid them. I like LF1M Titan 310+ No kids. Anything else does not work.

And yeah, all those groups eliminating every potential player, if they don't already have the emblem, or a Black Spindle, or if they are not 319+ are probably just as bad to play with, if they are convinced that's what it takes to win. Screw them. OTOH, I don't feel bad about bailing on LFG groups that immediately present themselves as failures.

We had it glitch twice when I ran it so we finally just did twenty bombs. That challenge is hard enough for those of us that don't have a dedicated group. Having the glitches and having to do an extra round was tough. Bungie really needs to get their act together with some of this stuff.

I would like to officially tell all of the people who *****ed about challenge mode not being challenging enough when they were first announced it to go jump off a bridge.

i spent 7 hours and got 3 rounds done.....although none of them counted b/c Oryx was a b!tch and wouldn't allow 16 bombs to kill him.

so 7 hours spent learning the hard mode challenge is about all i got out of it.

I did not get it done after trying repeatedly with mostly non dedicated groups, but I agree with you and further add that Bungie can shove this one up their ass.

I sometimes think these glitches are purposely encoded into the game. Your team enters the arena and draws a "low" random number, and you're doomed no matter what you do. And so follows the idea that it's some problem that gets solved by going to orbit, which would be true in that you get to draw a new random number when you re-enter the arena.
