Don't be frustrated Jacob, to her it's not convenient. Frankly, the younger generation, under 25 (Sorry CG), needs everything put on a plate for them. Like JELLO said many years ago; "Give me Convenience, or Give me Death" I guess he knew a lot about people.

BTW, why are people even commenting on that woman from you-tube?? Why do we care?? Someone please inform me as my patience is showing....

We're aproximately thirty-six hours from spending an entire day saying absolutely nothing of substance about announcements that haven't even been made.

Right now we're just working the speed-bag to stay loose.

I see, but the problem with that is that you guys will spend another 36 hours complaining about how the covers don't look that great. Then talk about how that may lead to the fact that you will reluctantly still buy the release, but won't be happy because the cover art doesn't look cool....

When I watch Seven Samurai I get hungry for rice and thirsty for sake. When I watch Lawrence of Arabia I crave lemonade.

I've only seen the trailer for Salo. I can't imagine watching the entire film. There are some images I just don't want seared into my brain

Hence the need to stay loose.

Oh, I forgot about those to. Rolling eyes is much more intelligent than having a counter-opinion to my film taste. It's the same use of calling something "pretentious" when one can just walk away from that said film. You want your voice to be heard, so what are your essentials of film history? Or are you just cool by "rolls eyes" and leave? That should totally K.O. my discussion.

Truffaut's The Soft Skin has a new Janus print. It's only a matter of time...

Just got done watching "Still Walking." A very thought provoking film. The storyline, while not original, was well written, in my opinion. While I was not surprised by the ending, I found myself hoping I was wrong.

For many families, dysfunction is a universal language.

You should just watch it. It's not as bad as people make it out to be.

For those of you that are interested in good films that are not Criterion, you should check out Echoes of the Rainbow

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Echoe...Blu-ray/16221/

It is one of those films that I feel should be given the Criterion treatment but prolly never will due to licensing

And though I own Salo, I would much rather read the book, which I also own. All the best parts didn't make it into the film

Compared to being run over by a train, it isn't. But, I would rather avoid that cinematic train-wreck just the same.

a year or so. With a couple of Chabrol, Godard's Weekend, and MAYBE Rivette (don't hold me to that), that is way more than enough for the New Wave output this year (not even counting blu upgrades to Godard and Truffaut films). Plus going by Dillinger, Vivre sa vie, House, etc it will take about a year. Can't wait to own it though.
