Custom Cover Art Thread

Every now and then I remember this thread and am impressed with a lot of these custom designs. It's just a rabbit hole I don't need to go down as I need to focus less on collecting and more on just having fun watching movies. But there's no doubt it'd be cool to have original poster art and/or vhs art for a decent number of releases. I don't have the setup or the confidence in printing them in as high quality as oem art that comes with released blus.

Does anyone have or have seen any Criterion customs that are scans of the original cover (digipacks) sized for the 14mm Criterion cases?

I'm looking for Videodrome, Dazed And Confused, Scanners, and Repo Man. I picked up some spare cases from Criterion and I can't stand these differently sized digipacks on the shelf.

I always adored the VHS cover to Titanic, so had to put something together for it, especially with the 4K out.

This took a lot longer than I'd like, and certainly isn't the per-disk breakdown I would have chosen. These are designed for eleven 6-Blu-ray cases. There's really no reason Peter Capaldi's run isn't on 12 Blu-rays instead of 14, for starters. But given that the big ugly set is ungainly and awful, here's a small, probably also ugly series of sets that I hope that fans might find a little more manageable. Hope that you enjoy.

I decided I wanted to condense my theatrical Star Wars releases that I’ve bought over the years (4K, 3D, Blu-ray and Despecialized discs) into a uniform design. As I borrowed from other creators, I won’t be sharing the covers, but I’d like to show off the collection anyway. The main Skywalker Saga covers use Florey's poster artwork. For Solo, I used Phil Noto's cover artwork for issue #3 of Marvel's comic adaptation. For Rogue One, I used Matt Ferguson's poster. As I could not find any alternate poster to my liking for The Clone Wars, I went with the main theatrical poster.



I decided I liked the original title font, so I decided to use it for the spines. I was able to use a 3D Printer at work to make hard plastic cases for each trilogy (Prequel, Original, Sequel, and "Anthology")



I attempted a few back covers, but nothing ended up "being right." So I decided to use the backs from Falle's set of covers.
