glad to hear the c-c100 is working out for you. for the week i experimented w/ rc10s as fronts, i thought the c-c100 blended well also. too bad the rc-lcr is not yet discounted from its ridiculous price...

So for me its about better mid-range detail, better detail in the highs and more slam from the speaker, while still maintaining a very musical nature and sound quality, but never loosing the ability to rock out for HT use.
That is precisely why you write the Best reviews

I forgot all about sound detail and better midrange but you are rith on that.

thanks oliver.... I just want to get the best sound and detail I can.... as long as their not bohemoths I think the wife would be OK with them... but the small footprint and the detail that you get is an added bonus.

Oh yea, my wife's daughter and son-in-law had 2 girls before they got their little boy too. He had been wanting a little boy so he could name him bubba, so when they finally had their boy they named him Braden, but everybody calls him Bubba..LOL.
I applied to our local Ambulance company for dispatcher position. May be something until something else comes along. I put in a few calls to the competition but nothing yet.

I need a job so I can finish upgrading my speakers. I'm sure enjoying my RC-10's while I've been off. I broke out some old CD's I haven't listen to in a long while. I found Rush to sound fantastic on them. I've grown to love Energy sound. Thanks for turning me on to them.

Yea, I guess for those of us that either can't or refuse to pay enormous prices for speakers, the performance / price ratio is pretty good. I'm very satisfied with Energy, although I have not heard many others. Like you said in an earlier post, ignorance is bliss.

Don't listen to Callas. The RC-10's are freaking amazing I used to work at the good guys! and sold a ton of audio gear, granted not everythign or insanely expensive but I've compared with other stores as well. There really isn't a best as everybody has different preferences but Energy's are awesome!

I grew quite fond of Focal's in my car back in the day as well (we didn't even sell that brand)..

Well, they sure sound better than the stuff I demoed at best buy and my local sound shop that carries klipsch, bose, and a couple of other brands I can't remember the names of. My Yamaha's I had previously sounded really nice, but man for bookshelf speakers the RC-10's do sound amazing. I turned them up pretty good this morning and they were very clear even at loud volumes.

Oh loud they can go without issues you can drive them with 175 watts of course this just power but just an idea my C-200 I drove them at 0 db without any sign of distortion in the sound of course the receiver and cd player and the quality of the recording play a role but they can go loud and that ribbed elleptical surround is amazing for that the RC-10 is good step ahead of the C-200.

Amazing speakers and I can't get over how great they sound but after hearing the Mites from Totem I must say I would go with the Mite, I know I spoke about Rainmakers also but I bring up the Mites since they were placed in the same range of price of the RC-10 but of course at the price we find the RC-10 now I mean you just can't go wrong.

Here a shot at the Mites

Yes, Oliver, I looked those up when I saw you and Steve talking about them. Totems do look awesome and I bet sound amazing as well. I wish there was a dealer around here that I could give them a listen.

If ever you have a good amount of money and you feel like upgrading I think you could do a blind buy on those as well as you did on the RC I mean Great dynamics yet nothing really missing in the sound and the detail is absolutely fabulous.

You could call a dealer in the nearest to you and have them shipped but man I looked up for dealers surrounding Louisiana and I think the closest I found is Florida.

I guess if you don't find a dealer near you on their websites in redirects you to Totem themselves you could give them a call and tell them your situation and they sure will be more than happy to help you.

So I think my wife likes the Towers more then bookshelf speakers...... SO whenever I do get new speakers, it my not be the Rainmakers or Mites or Excites...... It may be audiogon dyn towers or Sttafs.
