since the wife was taking her sweet time getting home last night......decided to go fragment farming.

looked at who the tier 3 court of oryx boss is this week......and i haven't beaten him yet.

went to the court and no one was there.

and i didn't want to try it myself and end up screwing myself out of my rune.

then Ken messaged me in a panic saying they needed a Warlock to finish off the sisters and Oryx.

You don't lose the rune if you fail.

i read a little bit about him....i guess you have to clear space on the floor since it's toxic the whole fight before you can do any damage to him.

Oh OK yea he's not that bad if you have enough firepower, I'll be on tonight before our Raid if you want to try and knock it out.

well sh!t......had i known that, i would've given it a try last night.

the wife was planning on going to the gym tonight, so that'll buy me @ least 45 min after she gets home and the kids are in bed while she takes her bath.

That boss is a major pain in the ass. If I am on I can help you out as well. Not many people doing the court of Oryx now days.

I think if you leave the area before the timer runs out you keep your rune, but if you fail trying then you lose it.

Unless they have changed something very recently, you keep your rune if you fail.

no.

the reason why you would leave the area is if you're farming tier 2 fragments and the wrong combination of enemies appears. leaving the area lets you end the encounter and keep your rune before the randoms you're with kill them and burn your rune.

failure to kill the boss doesn't take your rune.

can you die and not revive and just let it end that way and still keep your rune?? i was looking last night, i need 3 Tier 2 bosses i think yet.

it took a little bit, but me & 2 of my buddies finished off Bulwark. had to watch a video before we realized it was easier to kill the acolytes in the back of the room and stay behind the rocks vs. trying to kill her from the middle of the room.

all i need for fragments is:

1 Tier 3 boss
3 Tier 2 bosses
4 some mission has 4 of them in it
4 found on patrol

i could get enough just by finishing that one mission and getting the 4 on patrol i haven't gotten to yet.

This is correct you will not lose it.

Yes, you can die and not revive to cancel the instance. I think you'll need to wait 60 seconds for "Summoner's fatigue" (whatever it's called) to wear off afterwards, but you can just rerun.

You should be able to knock off the T2s solo.

The mission with 4 is Regicide. A lot of people use destinyghosthunter.net, but I used destinycalcifiedfragments.com and found it simpler with the way it's listed.

I think I may have an Agonarch Rune, so I can offer to try something...and besides, if I need to get a calcified fragment, I'd have to present that rune.
