Just as long as he doesn't cast Samuel L. Jackson as Le Chiffre

Waltz as Le Chiffre (if we can ignore the fact he's Franz 'TotallyNotBlofeld' Oberhauser)

I wouldn't be surprised if someone came on here saying that they thought Samuel L. Jackson, sporting a huge Afro, should be the next James Bond.

I love Casino Royale to death. I think it's a brilliant (Bond) movie. Perfect in every way and definitely my favorite Bond movie of all time. Craig is also the best Bond to date imo, and hence my favorite Bond actor of course.

However, Brosnan was my #1 before Craig took over the role, and I think his version of CR with Tarantino writing & directing would have been an amazing movie. Probably very(!) different from the movie we got in 2006, but a great beast in its own right. I'd love to see that movie.

Uh, there's new information coming out about this supposedly Daniel Craig rant and it appears that the comments may have been taken out of context from a broader interview that the actor participated in.

Apparently, a fan of Grey's Anatomy had informed Ellen Pompeo about Daniel Craig's comment:

the comments in question were just one part of the actor’s lengthy interview with the publication. Taken out of context, though, it’s easy to see how Craig could come off as an entitled Hollywood type.

Quote:
“You are absolutely right!” the actress responded to a fan who suggested that Craig’s quotes were likely “not exactly what he said.” “I certainly have been there.”
It appears that some overzealous fruitcakes in the media may have carefully selected some of his quotes to make it sound like Craig was being ungrateful, considering that days earlier he had mentioned that he was interested in playing the role for as long as he physically could. The entire article regarding this can be found here:

It's an interesting read.

Thing is this isn't the first time he's moaned about the role, he did it after Skyfall. Maybe the quotes were taken out of context but when coupled with the fact that i've read quotes from him complaining about the role in the past, i just think he's an ungrateful sod!

When they do inevitably recast the role and begin a new era of Bond, I'd love to hear a Bond song performed by Coeur de pirate. She would be perfect without a doubt. I don't think they'll pick her though, I don't think she's that well known, plus in recent years they like to go with the "in thing".

Something like this but with more of those overt Bondian tones:

No, it's really not. And it certainly isn't "new information" or information of any kind. This is just someone reporting that a fan tweeted a response saying that maybe Craig's comments were taken out of context and the writer of the original tweet saying "yeah, maybe so".

Seriously, is this what constitutes news these days? I despair, if so.

It may well be that Craig's comments were out of context or misreported. I've known reporters to completely invent interviews with people they've never even talked to.

But this is not evidence of that. This is nothing at all. Really, seriously - nothing.

Possibly but Craig changed his mind after seeing how much money Skyfall brought in, which he talked about doing more Bond films. I think this is just being taken out of context because there has been a stronger push to have Idris Elba portray Bond. Except, those decisions are being made by Barbara Broccoli and her production studio.

There's been too much of this "young Hollywood" thing and it seems that movie studios in other countries are trying to squeeze out the older actors in favor of a younger cast-type who will work for a lower salary. With actors such as Johnny Depp, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and more demanding higher and higher salaries ... movie studios are trying to ditch these seasoned actors for lower salaries.

I just think that James Bond can be cast with a younger actor. I don't think fans would go to the theaters to see the "Young James Bond Chronicles".

Given I've had anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder, OCD and suicidal thoughts on and off for 20 years... probably should have done that long before now. SLJ being Bond is the least of my mental defects.

I have a psychological condition that makes me want to see Sam Jackson sporting an afro in every movie yelling obscenities, it's called MDHD (Motherf**ker-Deficit Hyper-Jackson Disorder).
