I wonder if this will be made available on Netflix sometime within the next year or so?

I just watched Never Sleep Again on Netflix and it made me grateful that I hadn't spent the money to buy it on blu-ray.

Good doc...but not something I'd probably watch more than once or twice.

Perfect! I think that's indeed it! Thanks for the info!

Watched this for the first time last week. Having seen all the Friday the 13th movies only maybe once for most of them... wasn't sure what to expect from this documentary. Especially at 7 hours long.

But ... wow. It was a labor of love. I wish it was 7 MORE hours. Such a great documentary. It made me go out and buy Friday 1-8 and rewatch them. Super job.

SIDEBAR: I always wondered what happened to the girl at the end of the Halloween documentary who just HAPPENED to win the contest for a walk on role in the next Halloween film after she went topless for a moment towards the end of the documentary (coincidence?). Given that the next film was Zombie's first, I always wondered if she got her walk on..
That random flashing fan was the best part of the documentary

Didn't she win the contest to be in the next film?

Yeah, I was at the convention where she won. I think it was a screaming contest. (The actress who played Mrs. Blankenship in Halloween 6 even took part.) The girl who won did film a brief role in Zombie's remake, I think as a reporter or something outside the Myers house. I remember a Halloween site at the time posted an article detailing her day on the set and what all she did. But the scene she was in ended up being cut.

She was gorgeous, I was hoping her part 2would be bigger.

Nope. Same exact Blu Ray Discs as the initial release. The DVD's just weren't included in the package.

A Best Buy in my area that still has a hefty media section started stocking this right before Christmas, and I finally picked up a copy with a gift card today. They had about 10 or so on the rack. They previously stocked Never Sleep Again for what felt like MONTHS with not a single copy leaving the shelf so I never expected seeing this.

F13 was never really one of my favorite franchises, I prefer Halloween and Nightmare over F13, but I am really enjoying it so far.

Melyssa Ade (Janessa from Jason X) was fun in the documentary. She still looks pretty good, but kind of different.

In Amazon.com theres two Crystal Lake-documentaries.
The other one is Image Entertainment 2-disc pack(blu-rays) and the another one is 1428 Films 4 disc pack(2 blu-ray/2 dvd). Is there big differencies on those two?
Image Entertainment is cheaper

One has 2 DVDs, the other doesn't. The Blu-rays are the same.

Is this a good documentary for someone who would say they are a fan of the series, but not a "major" fan that knows every little thing? I see that Vudu is putting this on sale soon, $7 for each part, and was wondering if I should pick it up.

Absolutely. Even as a "major" fan, I would say this is still a fantastic watch.

Yeah it's great, I'm a fan of the 1st 6 movies, but even the segments of the movies I didn't like were still entertaining.

Absolutely worth it if you're a fan of the series. It's one of my all-time favorite documentaries and have watched it a few times since it came out.
