I know this isn't Blu-Ray related but I still wanted to share. I reached out to @nissen and asked him to create a Custom CED Cover for me. The Movie is House on Haunted Hill and it was never released on CED, it's just a novelty. Let me know what you think.

A little nugget if I may per the "Review" text I just added to the back portion of the above...

When sitting text on a busy background I will do different things depending on the image in question to increase readability of the text.

The above cover art is an example of this. Below is a pic of the "Review" text I added, no changes having been made to the background image the text is sitting on.

Before:


I then carefully moved things around a bit under the text, cleaner lines being created around the inside and outside of the text as a result.

After:


The difference may appear subtle, but it all adds up. Not sure if anyone else takes the time to do this type of thing or not. I do it all the time, a glutton for punishment I guess.

Do you guys know of anyone who prints out DVD art? Stock art or otherwise? I don't have a printer nor the skills to do that, but I inherited like a hundred DVDs from a colleague and he tossed all the cases to put them in small boxes. But the collector in me wants them in proper Amaray cases...

I'm not sure if anyone does that, but if you actually have hundreds that you want to print covers for, you might want to do some calculations and see if it would actually be cheaper to pay someone to print and ship to you vs. buying a printer and printing them yourself. There's some sites that allow you to download covers for free or offer fairly cheap memberships.

If you can't find someone and don't want to buy a printer, you could consider still downloading your own and then printing them at CVS or Target through their photo printing options.

Hey, all.

I just started working on some 4K cover projects, but I need to know what the proper width is, for specific case sizes...namely, anything that holds more than 3 discs. I've noticed that some studios use slightly different cases; for example, Shout! Factory and Warner Bros.' spine thicknesses don't match, and I think Universal is different as well. I'm very careful when designing and cutting covers, to the point that I usually make my own templates and publish my finalized works on more general sites like this forum. So for anyone who has a fabric tape to properly measure a thicker case, here's the types I'm after - any help is appreciated.

7 & 8-disc case
9 & 10-disc case
11 & 12-disc case

Again, please be patient with me - I am looking for the practical measurements, not the numbers generally accepted by popular websites who don't seem to double-check before accepting them. Thanks again!

I was able to grab a loose Blu-ray of the new Kino Daylight for $10 on eBay. I wasn't sure I needed it in 4K. Anyway, who knows when the 4K will see the light of day, so I knew I needed a Blu-ray cover for the disc and whipped this together.

Out of curiosity, has anyone done covers for the newer Doctor Who seasons that match the classic BD covers? I'm asking because I hate HATE the giant ass crap that came in the anniversary Series 1-13 set and would like to give each season their own case. However, I want them to match the covers for the classic series.
