Right on!!! People need to read the Novel. People also need to keep in mind that we are watching a live action comic book "loosely" based in the real world.

You understand that in film novelizations the adapting author will often embellish or clarify certain details based on their own whims, right? The film makes no clear indication Bruce went Great Gatsby "only" after Pavel's published findings on potential weaponization of the reactor, as opposed to immediately after the events of TDK/passage of The Dent Act. In fact I'd say it strongly implies the latter.

Actually, it does. When Miranda and Bruce meet for the first time at the ball, she mentions that Bruce only became a recluse after his energy project failed. I don't remember the exact dialogue, but that was definitely pointed out in the film.

Now would you rather have the momentum the film has built in the last act come to a screeching halt to show bruce's journey back to gotham or would you rather the film maintain its momentum and pace. Personally id rather the film not come to a halt to state the obvious for those who cant use their imagination to figure out the obvious. We know bruce will get back to gotham, we know he has world wide contacts and resources through his name and company, and we know he is the Batman.
I haven't even gotten to see the damn movie yet (still waiting ), but it sounds like solid logic to me.

I know precisely the dialogue you mean. Do we know for sure that causality isn't just speculation on Miranda's behalf? Particularly if the time frame of the fusiuon project abort happened to line up closely with the end of TDK/Dent Act? I don't think that's ever exactly clarified either. And then there's the numerous dialogues alluding to the lack of necessity for Bats (Dent Act; clean streets; upholding of the "noble lie" re: Dent) and the void in his life over the loss of Rachel. Clearly, his dreams of a more conventional existence (at least per the opening of TDKR) have died with her. The prominent socialite act was always just that--an act--and without the end to justify the means (actively diverting suspicion from himself over Batman shenanigans), why bother? Sure, failure of the clean energy project likely compounded this, but I think it's far from the main driving force. Regardless, I wouldn't call Miranda's line airtight exposition.

It is wrong. Without credits, the films is two hours and 36 minutes. Plus another 7 or 8 minutes of end credits.

Agreed. His original voice was unintelligible.

Unintelligible? Who cares about unintelligible? That's what they make subtitles for.
I didn't know what the big deal was - having still seen neither the movie nor the prologue, but DiL's posted comparison video makes it as clear as hell that the earlier version is way more scary, intense, interesting, whatever. And after the fiasco over whether or not Harrison Ford really tried on his Blade Runner voiceovers (which I liked), I thought those suggesting the same here were out of it. But on Bane's re-dos, Hardy sounds like he's either on Quaaludes or bored to tears.
And surprise, surprise, Cook is right that the French dub may be the best so far!

Think of Star Wars Episode I where they added extra pod race without calling it director's cut or something.

Actually, the film does. A line of dialogue from either Fox or Tate says otherwise.

Weird. Maybe he typed it in wrong... DVD Beaver, while awesome, does tend to post many spelling/grammatical errors & some info wrong. I'd love to see it at 177 minutes though.

She says something like "even if the scientist is dead?" when Bruce is hesitant about using it to power the city.
