Too early to post but this is what I will have for the left side and right side of my Fight Club steelbook.

What do you guys think?

Left side.

Right side.

The first image looks great, not so sure about the second, totally different style/feeling.

I don't like either one of those Fight Club photos. I don't like the face Pitt is making, don't really want another shot of soap in my steelie since it's already on the cover, and I don't think I'd want to read that word every time I remove the disc.

There are some awesome scenes in Fight Club that could be used instead of those two: the ending with them looking out the windows at the city, Pitt in a fighting pose with that crazy jacket, Pitt shirtless and smoking surrounded by a bunch of guys, Norton in his bosse's office, Norton pulling the trigger, Pitt in front of the white van, Pitt and Norton sharing a beer on the curb, etc., etc.

No problemo .. of course

On the left it's the original picture, and on the right the one I prepared for the Steelbook:

Thanks for the compliment ... and I can understand your "fear", since I was scared before doing the first one. Uhm , next time I do a spine, I should take some step by step pics to show you how easy and safe it is . The hardest thing for me is to clean the plastic part and completely remove the glue .

@Marcus, KaiGusto & mr. b: I think that Fight Club is the hardest one to do in my own collection . I tried to respect the spirit of the outside artwork (horizontal, metal, etc.) but didn't find any pics doing that ... so I did one on my own but don't like it at the end ... so if you find something that work well don't forget to post it here .

Cheers.
Steph.

Fight Club.
Had only black and white printer, so I made some little modification manually myself.

Default How to do the "Spine Job"

Nice job Marcus on your "Fight Club" .

So as promised, I took some pics when doing my last spine work, and here they are ..

After you have cutted the glue using the card (as thin as possible), you will have some glue left on the plastic spine and on the metal piece like this :

Then use your magic finger ... and remove most of the glue on the metal piece, and completely remove the glue on the plastic part like that :

... and to perfectly clean the plastic, you can use some alcohool ... at the end it must be perfectly translucid as shown on the following picture :

Then put the glue on the plastic part .. and spread it using your magic finger again (you must keep the plastic part as translucid as possible) ... and put your artwork ..

Then add some glue on the back of the artwork and on the back of the metal piece, and put it on the spine. To finish the job, put the Steel on his spine on a table and leave it like that for 10-15 minutes .

and here is the result :

Hope this help .

Cheers.
Steph.

Very nice, thank you very much, doesn't seem that dangerous, so I'm going to try that some time probably.

Toto, you're a true artist my friend.
I am way too lazy to make my own coffee let alone take out and replace the spine.

But once again, looks beautiful!

And Marcus.. That is brilliant!
Looks awesome IMO. greatjob mate!

Yep it's just a stick of glue used for paper ... my advice on this, just avoid glues that could damage the plastic .

I've decided to start making my blank interiors 1 picture panoramic's just like what should be found on Steelbooks in the first place.
Robin Hood (Australian) was my first effort, have since finished Minority Report and this one. All I need to do now is have the spine Anglicized and we're good to go.
